"First off....no seaweed! Small, but beautiful beach with clear water and some cute fishies and cool birds to see.
Resort is clean, clean, CLEAN. You can see the staff actively cleaning constantly -- even dusting the ceiling fans in the lobby! The room was very large and comfortable, although a little warm even with the AC on. Water pressure and temp in shower was great.
One pool is livelier and louder, one is chill, and then a much smaller pool is very calm and quite nearly all the time.
Although we are picky and did not like any of the specialty restaurant menus, we have never seen a better all-inclusive buffet. Fresh cooked proteins, loads of veggies and fruits, and wide variety. We looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Drinks were good, but not strong.
The resort overall is very small, which I liked, b/c I've been to others where you need a golf cart to get from one end to the other.
Close to airport---about 30 minute ride.

"We loved spending our honeymoon at RIU Baja California! The service was top-notch! We tried most of the restaurants and enjoyed the food very much, including the buffets! The entertainment through the day and evening was awesome!
The only negative is the beach access is not the best. You’re immediately bombarded by a dozen panhandlers once you step onto the beach. In addition, you can’t swim in the water at this beach due to the strong currents.
That being said, we couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon!"
