Beware! Awful terrible scam hotel
This place is terrible. On arrival we were immediately pressured to upgrade our stay to get premium experience, we eventually relented because the whole process was taking so long and we just wanted to get to get something to eat. Before getting to our room we had to stop again and talk with what turned out to be a timeshare salesman. Finally got to the room at 5:30 and started looking for a restaurant but were told no food available until 6:00 pm, unless we ordered room service which would take 45 minutes. We figured we would just walk around and check things out waiting for the buffet to open. We were appalled by the trash all over in the water, broken railings, dead poinsettias, the place looked very sad. This was not the 5 star experience we had booked and asked the manager if we could check out and get a refund. He said not an option, but here is the representative from hotels.com, she will make everything better. She was at first helpful, but the last straw was when I asked about my resort credit she said oh, yes here is a coupon book for discounts around the resort (with lots of restrictions). I said no, I have spa reservations for the morning and plan to use my resort credit. She said I’ll talk to the manager in the morning, but in the morning both she and the manager said no. We had a very uncomfortable situation with the staff, I wish I had more space to write! We ultimately checked out after so much stress! Be warned!

Loved staying at TRS! The Adult only is definitely noticeable: everything is cleaner, the staff is so helpful, the diners are really good! Comparable to a night out in Toronto. The buffet food has a variety everyday, the gym was big and clean, and there’s a lot to do didn’t have time to do everything. The butler service is great as they’re extremely helpful in getting you what you need. We didn’t have to deal with anyone selling us any time shares and were respectful if we didnt want any add ons. Expedia provides a special concierge at the hotel and she went above and beyond to make our experience even better. Fernanda helped us get the best seats at the restaurants and gave us tips regarding the best places to visit on Playa Del Carmen. Will definitely be coming back!

We had an excellent experience at TRS and will definitely be going back. All the facilities and grounds were attractive, neat and well maintained. the shuttle service worked well as the resort is quite spread out. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The infinity pool and TRS beach looked great and had beautiful views. The staff at TRS are excellent. Everyone is attentive and friendly and seem genuinely interested in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Karen & Ramiro at El Gaucho and Areli, Cindy & Cesar at La Boheme were standouts as were the meals. However, all the TRS restaurants had excellent staff and food. Initially there was an issue with our dinner reservation the first night, however Jonathan resolved the situation immediately. He also went out of his way to ensure our dining experiences were special the rest of our stay. At the beach bar Lucianna, Marcos & Marco made sure everyone was well taken care of. Also the attendants were always on hand to get towels or help set up umbrellas…etc., often responding even before being asked. The past few years we have been to several similarly priced resort in the area and TRS Yucatan is the one we will go back to.

Expedia knocked it out the park, a wonderful young lady from Expedia met us several times and to make our trip special. La Jarra butler Lucen and Chef Carlos were amazing on our special beach bali bed day. Lobster! Arturo, the butler at the infinity pool was great and Sonia is the best pool waitress on planet earth. Our butlers Paola, Ricardo and Ramon were incredible. Our Chic Cabaret waiter Wilberth was awesome.

It felt like paradise. Staff is great and our butlers ouffffff😮‍💨 I had Armando and Carlos. Great guys and they showed me much love. A trip to remember. My only bad experience in there is the shuttle service they’ve partnered up with. Shuttle Centeral never came to when we checked out. if it wasn’t for our Butler, I would’ve missed my flight. He called a taxi and we had to pay additional $150 to the airport.

Every stay at TRS was amazing and I really enjoyed every moment. However, calling the shuttle was a bit difficult. The shuttle to the lobby or restaurants took us longer even when the butler requested the ride. Addition, there was a luggage pickup service for the checkout, but our luggage was not picked up at the requested time. We’ve waited for 45 mins to get our luggage to the lobby. All staff were friendly and welcoming and smiling all the time.

The TRS Yucatan is a wonderful place for vacation. I felt the staff was welcoming and helped us with everything we asked. They put the customer first and do their best to make it a great time for everyone. I saw staff setting up a birthday surprise for a guest celebrating and other little things that just bring their level of service above and beyond other places. They may try and set up an appointment to sell you a timeshare but you are free to decline or if you do accept the tour they give you discounts or gifts with nothing expected in return.

I recently stayed at this resort from 10/12 - 10/16, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Upon arrival, the check-in process seemed nice until we were directly sent to a sales club to offer a "rewards program". They did not want to take no for an answer and proceeded to tell us they wanted to host a celebratory breakfast for our 5 year wedding anniversary and then have a 60 minute presentation. They showed us three options of gifts and the only one that interested us was the nest which was a very unique bali bed by the salt water pool. The salt water pool was the reason we booked this resort as it was gorgeous and unique. We told the sales man that we just heard at check in that the salt water pool was shut down due to damage from the hurricane a couple of weeks ago. We should have been notified of this before we arrived but especially before agreeing to this breakfast/presentation. This was an extreme let down for us. We went to the presentation which lasted 3 hours (they took us to a buffet, no celebratory breakfast). Afterwards, we worked out having a bali bed by the infinity pool instead to make up for the nest. When the time came (which happened to be on our last day there), my butler proceeded to inform me that it was only for the beach, not the infinity pool. This trip was the best experience I’ve ever had and will definitely come back in the near future. Everything was so perfect, I cant think of anything that TRS can improve because it was outstanding in every way possible. The food is beyond this world, the amenities are incredible and 1 week wasn't enough to do everything that they have to offer, so we definitely will come back. I recommend everyone to try the Cenote Dinner with love ritual, buy tickets for Chic Cabaret, is really the best experience We had! Bravo was incredible too! Will have to try Bingo next time we come. The people here are incredible, super friendly, very respectful and super helpful. Hands down the best customer service I’ve ever experience. The staff is so friendly and genuine that I’m leaving a part of my heart to every staff that I met. I definitely want to thank every staff but specially the following, because they made our stay super incredible. Thank you Fernanda G. Pichardo the Expedia Ambassador, Thank you so much for all the help. Alexis Colin from romantic dinner, thank you so much, you brought so much joy to us!! The world definitely needs more people like you! Thank you Gabriel Rios for our romantic dinner at Tentazione, it was very nice! It was really convenient that each villa had their own team of butler. Our butlers Armando, Carlos, Diego were very helpful with sending the daily itinerary, booking our dinner reservations, and assisting with other needs.

Todo me encanto! El hotel está divino, los restaurantes riquísimos Lo único que odie fue a los de travel club, me dijeron que sería un “tour de bienvenida” y nada de eso era, fue una plática aburridisima queriéndome vender una membresía, me hicieron perder dos horas de mi tiempo, el supervisor Alfredo se puso súper incisivo de querer que comprara algo que nosotros no estábamos interesados y lo mencionamos muchísimas veces y simplemente no paraba, súper incomodo Desafortunadamente al ser las primeras dos horas de nuestra experiencia en TRS, si afectó nuestra estadía Recomiendo mucho el hotel, sin embargo sugiero que tengan aún más actividades entretenidas para cuando llueve, ya que nos toco dos días de lluvia y las actividades no eran muchas, ni entretenidas

The butler service, especially Ricardo was outstanding. He made our trip special. The room was large with comfortable beds. The service staff from the drivers to the waiters at the restaurants to the bingo game at night. Highly recommend this hotel. It was worth every penny. You will not regret it.
