Good hotel
Most of the rooms do not have a single window. The hotel is priced very fairly, location is great. Not for long stays but good for business trip or weekend

Hotel Soleil felt like PRISON Soleil!
Have stayed here the last couple years. Sometimes twice a year. Our other visits prior to this one have been rated a 5 start. Unfortunately our stay this year was horrible. Customer service took a major decline. We felt very unwelcome from the moment of our check in. All they cared about was money and not customer service. They would deactivate our keys every night to make sure they had the proper headcount of individuals who were staying in each room. We had family that had to wait in the lobby instead being able to hang out in our room because the front desk would not allow them to go without charging them a “Extra guest fee”. Despite us telling them they were not staying the night. The first night we stayed in our room it smelled like sewer. We notified the front desk of the situation they stated they were aware of the problem and all they could do for us was to offer us a cleaning spray. When asked if we could just get a different room the front desk said no because they were sold out. We literally had to go buy Febreze to try to bypass the smell. After complaining about the situation for two days straight with the front desk we were finally given a different room. We ultimately ended up with a smaller room than the one we had already paid for without no compensation whatsoever. We travel as a family. We had 6 rooms total and we all had some sort of issues with this hotel. Sad to say this will be our last time staying here. This was our family’s go to hotel.

Horrible
It’s a Pet Friendly Hotel … YaY!! We have 2 small dogs( Morkies) and have a licensed certification for 1 (emotional support animal) which was granted at time of check in. Therefore we paid 200 pesos for the other dog and understandably so. Unfortunately, at the time of checkout , we were advised that an additional 200 pesos was required for the Emotional Support Animal… what a disappointment!! From a VERY warm welcoming (kind, understanding , sweet and considerate lady) , to an Extremely disappointing checkout (from an inexperienced customer service representative trying to prove a point) !! So sad that 200 pesos ( $10 American) was so important to this hotel ! Was going to let the VERY VERY Small room issue ,with an alley view and major highways on both sides slide but hey, what the hick ! You need to know either way. We will NOT be back !!

I enjoyed Hotel Soliel. The bed was very comfortable. The room was comfortable. Smaller than expected but truly, no complaints. The food at this hotel was AMAZING! The Buffalo Wings will make you re-order extra. The Strawberry salad was huge and every delicious. The hotel is Pet Friendly, but know that your furry friend can't stay in the room unattended. There's a great Dog Taxi and Hotel about 10 minutes away that makes this easier to deal with.Overall, I enjoyed Hotel Soliel.

Nice place but DAILY PET FEE is A PRICEY SURPRISE!
I probably would have given this hotel top ratings in all categories but I was soured upon learning at check-in about a PET FEE in this pet-friendly hotel. Hotels.com says it's pet friendly but it does NOT say there is a pet fee AND the pet fee is a PRICEY PET FEE of $20 per night, almost as much as the room cost! BTW, the only place to walk your dog is the medium strip of a very busy street, but it worked well enough.

Good for a business trip
The rooms were clean and comfortable. If you care about a room with a window, make sure to request it. There were a few people of the staff who were incredibly helpful and a few who did not care much about my questions and requests. The location is ok, next to a busy road. If you like sports, there is a great park with different exercise opportunities right across the street.

Beautiful and elegant.
My stay there was amazing. Very modern, impeccably clean and very comfortable and safe. Staff very friendly and professional. Only challenge was no hot water for shower for 3 days. Easy fix though. Overall I highly recommend this hotel. It's gorgeous.

Super clean and modern and well-designed room!
Fantastic room! It was a compact room but I can't believe how well designed the room was--all of the space was perfectly usable and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable, the decor clean and modern, the cleanliness perfect and spotless, and the staff friendly. The location was very convenient by car but not as convenient for walking, but it was only a short drive to the zona piel and not much farther to the historic center. If you have a car, I would definitely recommend staying here!
