I want to start by thanking the hotel staff for their unbeatable service, Vanesa, Luis, Siro, Ale, Cesar, Alor, David and especially Mr. Miguel Barquet for the personalized service to our family. I also have to mention that the food in all the restaurants we visited was A , the beach is super comfortable and cozy. The property has plenty of space and is well distributed for the activities that the hotel has, it also has 2 gyms with trainers that make exercise easier. In general I recommend it for the food, service and beach,

SLS Playa Mujeres is a beautifully designed resort with cuisine that is superior to all that I have experienced here in the playa mujeres coast. I have stayed here twice now in two months, and have spent relaxing times on the beach which always has easy access to chairs/umbrellas (in the adult portion), and the adult pool which always has good DJs and at times live music as well. My only issue both times was the control of the children at this resort, especially at night. Up until 10pm at night, they would be at the bars such as Hudson Tavern and disrupt the experiences of many adults. Many of the leasure areas to sit in the evening would also be taken up my misbehaved children. Control and better management of this issue is necessary if this specific resort wants to flourish. It has so much potential, and it is a shame to see the direction things have taken in the first 3 months since it opened in November 2024.

Todo estuvo excelente con una penosa excepción: los alimentos. Hay una lamentable baja calidad en los alimentos. No es que estén mal, pero en comparación con el resto del hotel y sus servicios, que son de excelencia, colocan una nota demasiado simple en el conjunto. Cenamos en 3 de los restaurantes de especialidades y la comida era insípida, poco variada y no se sentía de calidad. Solo en el restaurante UNION, cenamos un filete que estaba realmente bueno pero el resto de alimentos con que complementamos, muy regulares. A la hora de la comida, solo había 2 opciones (lo que dejaba pocas posibilidades)) y en cada opción muy poca variedad. Si la poca variedad estuviera buena, podría ser aceptable, pero de regular no pasa. Otro problema es que de lunes a miércoles hubo camastros suficientes, pero a partir del jueves, al incrementarse la ocupación del hotel, resultan insuficientes. Es muy desagradable encontrarnos con que para las 11am ya no había camastros disponibles en el área de la alberca. Asimismo, estábamos en habitación ÉLITE, lo que suponía nos daba acceso al uso de una cama balinesa, pero me parece que solo hay 4 o 5 y en ninguno de los días las pudimos usar porque otros huéspedes las reservaban desde muy temprano. Yo salí a las 9am buscando reservar alguna y en ninguno de los días me fue posible. Además permanecían vacías casi todo día. Deberían de incluir al menos unas 3 o 4 más. Es lamentable porque afecta a la experiencia general que es excelente por lo demás.
