memorial day weekend
visited for memorial day weekend. very clean , easy check in process, food was good just repetitive. staff were friendly. alcohol very watered down. i recommend buying a bottle from liquor store. disappointed there were no parties or music on resort our entire stay . i did my research and this was supposed to be a party resort . the very first day they turned the music on briefly and the entertainment staff said his boss told him to turn it off . it seems like they wanted to cater more to the old white people. My only other complaint is the air in my room didn't blow as cold as i'd like it too. would definitely visit again but i wouldn't expect any parties. we left the resort for the real fun!

Opened in November, so very new. All rooms have ocean view. I had Jr suite so really nice room ( free upgrade, yea) i dont understand any review that said bland food. Food was 5 stars. Not bland at all. Nightly activities were a lot of fun. Never had a problem finding lounge chairs at the pools. Only downer was i bought a necklace and 15 min. later went to return it as i felt it was to expensive. NO RETURNS. No signs saying so. It is printed on the receipt....so AFTER you pay, you find out no refunds. Kinda deceitful . I still give 5 stars! Staff was amazingly friendly. Wont let me upload photos. I had a bunch. To bad.

Worth a visit!!
Just returned from 5 days at Riu Kukulkan and we had a great time! The hotel is new,clean and beautiful the 4 pools were so nice and no issue finding chairs at the pool or in the beach. Everything is a manageable distance from one another. We had no issues getting into any of the restaurants on any night we really enjoyed our meals at the Japanese restaurant and Krystal as well. The breakfast buffet was great. The service was great-all so friendly and quick. The activity staff were great. We had a lot of fun doing water polo,volleyball, aqua fitness, etc. The Michael Jackson night show was great. Age bracket there while we were there seemed to be in the older side 40yrs and up but there were some in the 20-30yr range. Only suggestions(not complaints)-more evening entertainment, perhaps 1 pool that would have louder music and more activities besides sports like stuff. We would def go back and would rec

Great hotel
My friends and I loved our stay at the RIU palace. The food was great and the staff was amazing. Ramiro the bartender was amazingly sweet and attentive, he’s great! I felt bad that some of the visitors were being mean to him and even complained to a supervisor, he was the only one working the bar at the time and working as best as he could.. It looks like he was getting in trouble as we were leaving which wasn’t fair.

Perfect Stay
Resort was amazing. Check in process was very easy. Views were amazing. All of the pools were nice, but the one by the swim up bar was our favorite. For dining the Italian restaurant and Steakhouse were the best and of course the buffet. There was some shows at night, but that would be my only gripe is there could be more entertainment after 9 pm. Very good location mall and shopping was 5 min walk and all of excursions picked us right up from the hotel. Drinks were flowing from every direction we loved this resort and will be back. There was only a $12 tax that was extra no other fees or deposits.
