Our stay could not have been better. We felt completely safe throughout our entire stay, the staff is amazing and took excellent care of us, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is delicious. I stay at this hotel every time I visit Cancun and it never disappoints.

From the time we arrived until the time we left (6 days) we were amazed at how nice, helpful and attentive the staff at the hotel was. Everyone was great. They went out of our way to make sure we were happy except for one incident that almost ruined our entire vacation. We had a pre-planned trip to Coba and Tulum that upon our arrival the hotel staff told us was gonna come with a presentation before we'd actually get the excursion and if we didn't buy whatever they were selling the staff said they wouldnt actually do the tour but if we sat down with the hotel staff for a short presentation during breakfast the next morning about the hotel they'd set us up with a new tour and guarantee it. We agreed not knowing they were gonna do breakfast then make us sit through 90 minutes of a sales pitch to buy some bullcrap hotel timeshare. Then to top it off had to schedule the excursion two days later when the day we had originally planned was wasted. Needless to say we were PISSED! We won't go back. Besides how wonderful the staff is here's a few of the hotels short comings: It's Dated - its more than 30 years old and its age shows (peeling paint, doors that dont shut properly) The restaurants food is very poor quality and has no flavor The ceiling in the main entryway is missing glass and a section of the floor is roped off because it gets wet when it rains The "travel agent" for excursions is extremely slow and overpriced They'll try to sell you a timeshare!!!

All in all the stay was good. The room however was very humid and damp. We were there during a rainy time so I think that contributed to it. My clothes were still damp when I got home. The staff was absolutely amazing! I was a bit upset that the rules changed mid stay about bringing drinks from the gem club back to the room. When we first got there it was no problem for the first 2 days then we were told we no longer could. In that time I saw multiple people carry drinks down to their room? I figured it was because we wouldn’t listen to their pitch. We finally gave in to speak with someone about there timeshare. What was supposed to be 15 mins turned into 2 hours with persistent pressure. He actually was not going to allow us to eat breakfast! This completely turned me off to any Grand Fiesta going forward. I do not need that on my VACATION!
