We have been visiting this area for years now, so know it well. This time Stellenbosch seemed to be thriving and very buzzy. Lots of new and interesting shops and boutiques. Plus a larger shopping mall. Parking is easy in the mall underground.

We were staying in hopes of finding a long term apartment rental in Stellenbosch. There were literally NO apartments available! The number of students has increased to the point that they have completely taken over. We had some amazing food there.

We stayed in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Cape Town. All three had their charm. We enjoyed a multicourse dinner with wine pairings at Tokara Wine Estate.
"This apartment was beautiful with a stunning city view of Cape Town. It felt like home immediately and has a washing machine in the apartment which was greatly appreciated as someone who had been traveling for 2 months through Africa! Loves everything about my stay. Would very much recommend! "
"The staff is absolutely amazing. The rooftop bar and food was quaint quiet and perfect. The breakfast is simply amazing. We loved this stay. The location is on the waterfront, which is extremely safe, not extremely African, but very nice."
"Basic but perfect for an overnight stay. Comfy bed, clean, nice tea, good pressure shower, delish breakfast, wonderful staff. Thank you! Citi Hopper was also great! "
