Disappointed
Really disappointed. Whilst the hotel was lovely (although rooms a bit dated), we were really upset at the ‘pool day passes’ given t absolutely anyone. On the weekend and public holidays while we were there it was absolutely awful. Huge parties of rude, loud and dirty people white no respect for others took over the pools. Then the horrible loud music being blasted beside the pools was just too much. Such a shame as it has always been a lively place to stay. The food however and the housekeeper Joyce were amazing

Great hotel
Overall it's a lovely hotel, can see why it is not quite getting 10/10 ratings though. Pros: - The food is really tasty, lots of choice and variation - Staff are very friendly and kind - Lots of pools and sunbeds, never an issue getting a space - The private beach is very nice, just a short walk and much quieter than any other beach we saw in Malta Cons: - There's random and extremely loud music played for an hour twice a day which kind of ruins the peaceful vibe. Same songs all week as well! - The shop on site is super expensive, £4 for a packet of crisps and £20 for a small bottle of sun cream expensive! - The private beach is great but you can only swim maybe 20m because of all the ferries. - If you're on the second floor, you might not get much of the bay view you paid for because the roof of the indoor pool is in your way

We always enjoy it One thing, we arrived before our check in time 2 hours or so before and wasn't allowed to stay near the pool which is absurd ...all other hotels allow this. Other than that all great

Overnight stay
Stayed here overnight to get early start for Gozo ferry. Accommodation was fine with rooms overlooking pools and Paradise Bay. Breakfast was okay although rather noisy due to a group of school children staying in the hotel.

2/10 Poor

My friends and I had a horrible stay at your hotel from 4th June to 5th June room 128. During our stay we encountered a number of unsatisfactory service levels that I think you should know of and hopefully do something about. First, we did not have air conditioning during the night. When we informed the receptionist, she informed us that the air conditioning only works during the day, beginning at 6 p.m. Then we asked if they could at least give us a fan to use until the AC came on, but they said they didn't have any. Secondly, the maintenance man entered the room without knocking on the door. I hope you agree with me that this type of service is unacceptable. I would like to hear your thoughts about my complaint and the steps that you are willing to take to prevent such incidents in the future.

Stunning views (see photos from room)/ bad food
The views are absolutely stunning and except for the hotel manager lady, the rest of the staff is very helpful. Mellieha really is a place to sit back and relax, Valetta is almost an hour away by bus. Bus services in Malta are really good and cheap though. Now, the hotel food is not very good (except for the desserts) + there is absolutely no variety in the food served from day to night or day to day.
