The property was a 15 minute walk to the village with paths and lighting. The village has an atmospheric pub, The Lamb, serving good food with a friendly service

"Beautiful hotel. I paid extra for a deluxe double room, which was lovely overall. However, one downside—never mentioned during booking or at check-in—was that the room didn’t have an external window. Instead, it faced the bar area, so there was no natural light in the room."
"Good from start to finish. It’s a big city centre hotel with a great ethos. Staff are helpful and friendly, it’s clean and comfortable and facilities are good. 10/10 from me for my one night stay. "
"Perfect venue for Castle events. Clean and wonderful staff. Good value. Outside doesn’t look that inviting but once inside a lovely entrance hall. Rooms had good amenities and a good view of the castle."
