Great hotel right next to the castle!

This was a lovely hotel and conveniently located right next to the castle — in fact, our room had a direct view of the castle, which was so nice! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here!

The staff at the Angel are always really helpful and welcoming. It's a lovely building to visit and the rooms can vary but are always decent, clean and comfortable at the very least. Breakfast is good. I stay here when I can!

Great service and a great stay

Had a great stay here that started with the warmest welcome ever from Joey and Sarah. Both went above and beyond within 5 minutes of our arrival; we were able to check-in a bit early, and I thought I had left my credit cards at a nearby pub and Sarah was on the phone immediately to help me retrieve them. Room was clean and lovely. Location was great for our stay and will definitely return.

Arrived at the hotel and immediately was met by friendly receptionist who was so helpful. She went out of her way to help us and I was very impressed. Got us a room slightly early as we had an appointment to get to and wouldn’t be back till late. Rooms very clean tidy as I expected from the hotel. Breakfast as normal was great food was warm tasty and plenty of it. Highly recommend and will be back

just a couple of points, the void in the secondary glazing between the hinged glazing and the sash window is laden with dirt. the bath had two chips on it which I have never seen before in any hotel The breakfast was probably the best I have ever had and the staff were helpfull and most attentive. Your hotel would be our first choice when revisiting the City
