A Very Serviceable Japanese Style Hotel Room
A serviceable room (this is not a bad thing, most Japanese style hotel rooms are very small and efficient). I really only stayed in the room to shower and sleep, but the room was always clean and stocked with the proper amenities. There is a Desk, usually an electric kettle, and a refrigerator. The only complaint I had, was the mattress was a little on the thin side. Overall would happily stay there again. Non-essential information: A good point about this hotel is that it is right next to a laundromat, so you can pack a fewer clothes if you'd like (more room in your bag for souvenirs... and Japanese candy). If you have a JR pass (get one if you are going to be using the shinkansen twice or more) Shin-Okubo is the nearest JR station at about a 10 minute walk (north-east). If you are needing to travel using the tokyo subway line, the nearest station is about 2-ish blocks away. Close to this hotel is a 7-11, Lawson, family mart, daily yamazaki, not to mention the mini stop right outside the hotel for a quick onigiri or sandwich. If you go north to Syokuan-dori avenue there are quite a bit of places to eat both in the east and westerly directons. Walking South takes you to Kabukicho and Shinjuku proper (where the Robot restaurant, Toho cinemas and the Godzilla head are), but beware of the Nigerian touts along the way. This way also puts you close to an Ichiran Ramen, Don Quiote, and the main drag if you continue in that direction.

Great Hotel
The hotel was a ten minute walk to the nearest train station and close to many restaurants. The hotel is also no more that 100 meters away from Tokyo’s huge red light district. Not knowing this before I booked but not being a problem for a man traveling alone. If with a family it might be uncomfortable working your way through it on the way to the train station. The hotel was very clean, comfortable but very small as was expected. I would definitely stay again.

Quiet hotel in a bustling area
Cozy little rooms! Very clean, friendly staff. In a bustling neighborhood but surprisingly quiet in our room for how packed the street is. Close walking distance to lots of food and activities (check out the onsens nearby!) as well as a 10-15 minute walk from a large train & metro station. Key warning: there are 2-3 other APA hotels all within the same 1-2 block radius. Our maps kept directing us to the wrong hotel as this one doesn't seem to be as large or popular?

Great Hotel, Location and service AWSOME
Great Location. We took 2 rooms as they did not have Family rooms. The rooms were very clean and perfect for our stay. As many have said they are small rooms but good enough for us. All the facilities were perfect and the staff was excel;lent and very helpful. Location was great as it was at the top end of Shinjuku and away from all the hustle and bustle. Still was a little street noise in the late evenings but not too bad. I would highly recommend this Hotel for for couple and families. Shinjuku is a lively place and and awesome experience even though its a little seedy the people around are friendly. The streets are very clean and safe to walk around . Close to railways and popular tourist attractions. It was also handy to have a small bread and coffee shop up the road and many good restaurants to go to for the evenings. We would 100% stay again in this Hotel without a doubt. Had a great time thank you to all staff.

Cold room and floors, but great value
The room was not heated, and for the end of Nov / beginning of Dec, that made the room very cold to be in unless you were in the shower or under the covers in bed. No heated toilet seat either (we were quickly spoiled in Japan!) and the floor of the bathroom is very cold so you have to wear slippers (which the room is provided with). The size of the room was quite small, which we were fine with but others may have a harder time. No amenities in the rest of the hotel. Very well located about 10 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station and 1 minute from the bars, restaurants, and entertainment area!
