8/10 Very good
21 September 2023
Clean and new but comfort amenities are lacking.
Came with my family (all adults) and stayed for 4 nights. Probably would not stay in Shinjuku again as the night life and men trying to lure in foreigners or single females just was uncomfortable although nobody seemed to feel unsafe. After 7 pm, many reataurants continued to be really busy and we struggled to find a restaurant even past 9 pm. The hotel itself is new. Room cleaning every 3 days but can have towels provided everyday (hung on your door). Amenities were lacking compared to all the other hotels we stayed at ( we stayed at a total 5 during this trip around japan). Toothbrush and toothpaste provided. No shaver or cotton pads etc. Another hotel had these provided in the lobby to reduce waste which I think was a great idea. Filtered water only available in the basement and water bottle provided to refill was less than 500 mls, more suitable as a travel bottle rather than for the room. The only hotel we stayed in without an in room air purifier. The 3 bed room was spacious enough to move around. The king bed room has very little floor room and I probably would select smaller bed i favour of more floor room. Made packing tricky. Bathroom very generous size. Breakfast was good but no variety changes between the days for the buffet or drinks portion. Reception staff spoke English well and were happy to help. Extremely good soundproofing. No noise from the surroundings even with clubs nearby. Airport limousine stop at shinjuku kabuchiko tower only 6 min walk and 1300 yen
