We have visited Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya twice now, over the last few years. It's a great resort, not too big. Not fighting over pool chairs like a lot of places. Kids loved the water slide. We enjoyed having the Preferred Club pool option. The service was amazing, everyone so nice and helpful. Paulina was great, always around to help and give me advice on activites and the resort, whenever we needed it. We had the resort help us with family photos also, and they turned out great. I am confident we will be back to Dreams Aventuras!

Dreams Aventuras is a very nice resort. Pros: 1. The entire staff (and I mean every single person who works there) are extremely helpful and friendly. 2. Staff very responsive if called for assistance (they respond within minutes) 3. Our room was always ready and taken care of (Thank you Maria - you are tops) 3. Very clean and well maintained 4. Explorer Club for kids (we had our 9 yo -she loved that) 5. Enclosed bay for swimming and snorkeling 6. plenty of lounges available by pools and beach Cons: 1. Food was ok but not what expected as compared to other resorts (we have stayed at several) 2. Excursions from resort were very expensive considering what you got. (i.e. $505 for 4 1/2 hour snorkel with turtles (lasted about 25 minutes) and swim in a cenote (about 25minutes) small meal and relax on beach for about hour (which is what we were doing at resort anyway) - the rest of that 4 1/2 hours was drive time in a very packed small van. 3. The free Playa del Carmen shopping tour provided by host was ok except we were dropped a few blocks from the shopping district, which made for a very hot start to the shopping, and once again the van for this was packed, had poor suspension and limited AC which made for a horrid ride with and aching backs by the time you returned.

Dreams was a great vacation but it is a much smaller resort which I did like. This limits your choices for food. However it also means you’re not walking a mile or two every time you want to go to the pool. The beach isn’t a real beach, not a downside for me personally as my family and I prefer the pool but I know many would find that off putting. As for food, we tried the grill, the Mexican restaurant and the Italian and since we don’t do sea food on vacations we did not go to any other place. The food was great - nothing compared to a Sandals or some other 5 star resorts but you get what you pay for.

The resort was wonderful! I booked the Deluxe Pool View King and didn’t even realize it had a spiral staircase that lead up to a separate sitting area. A very cool surprise! If you are looking to stay somewhere that has a relaxing/chill vibe, this is the place to go. The only downside for me was the small pool. The resort has 2 swimming pools, but one is for preferred members only. I love lounging by the pool and soaking up the sun, but I could never find a spot. Also, if you’re someone who smokes, it is prohibited on the property. There is a designated smoking area outside by the entrance/parking…But I would definitely stay here again! :)

Excellent service, love a la carte restaurant with no reservation and the food was great. All employees very nice like: Yanine, all reception team. Raul, Eleno, Paulina, Javier, Piero, Ángel, Octavio, Amado. All reception team. Wilbert. Excellent!! We never had this excellent experience in the Riviera Maya Resorts. THANK YOU!

Great experience especially their staffs are all very friendly and kind. Food choices are well, although we have some stomach problems, probably better to stay with meat instead of seafood options. Pools and beach area are very kids friendly, room is always clean and tidy. Check in and out are easy. Night shows are also interesting and enjoyable. All the hotel staffs put in a lot of effort to make this resort a memorable place for families. The resort is close to key attractions in Rivera Maya. We didn’t leave the resort to explore the peurto adventuras area because our children are still young, but would have been a great day activity for couples. Will go back with kids again.
