It was under construction, but that is not the reason of a rating. Bed had no support, bugs in bathroom. Hotel said 100% no smoking. However, halls smelled like Marijuana. Dont think we will be returning

The hotel has no maintenance, they do not review the conditions of the rooms they offer. When I arrived and put my foot on the carpet, it was completely full of water, so much so that my foot sank into the carpet, the room was in a terrible state, they changed my room, the new room was worse than the first because The toilet was clogged. This hotel is a total disaster. I don't recommend it even to spend one night. My stay at this hotel was a nightmare.

A nightmare! Dirty and unsanitary
This place was a nightmare! The person who was checking us in was so rude and he was high on something. He insisted that I had to pay again for the room, because it didn’t show that I had already paid for it. I showed him my receipt from Hotels.com that showed I had already paid and he still insisted that I had to pay again! After about 15 minutes another employee came and showed him on the computer that my room was already paid. He didn’t even apologize for his mistake. As we walked to find our room we noticed there had been water damage to this hotel, there were pieces of wall paper missing and it smelled horrible. Once we got to our room, the first thing we saw were roaches on the wall and in the bathroom. The bathroom was disgusting, there were yellow stains all over the cabinets and walls. My husband and I had to sleep with our clothes on and with all the lights on, as we were scared roaches might climb on us as we slept. This is the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed in. I requested a refund, but still have not heard anything back. Do not stay there!! It is unsanitary! We would have preferred to sleep in our car, but it was freezing cold that night.

RENOVATING & NOT CLEAN
It was obvious once we walked in to check in that the hotel was under repairs. The room should’ve never been used until the smelly and stained carpet was replaced. The air conditioning unit was noisy and whined all night when the ac kicked on. The bathroom was in need of repairs to include lighting and exhaust fan. The bathroom floor was sticky as well. The breakfast was cold when put out and the bread was stale. The pool was not usable due to algae buildup. The fact that the hotel was undergoing repairs in any way should’ve been provided prior to anyone making reservations

Stayed here before won't do it again
It's been under construction for about a year now every time I think they're done I go back and it's gotten worse The elevators are old and outdated make loud noises and get stuck sometimes the doors don't open. There was a cockroach in the bathroom enough said. I think there was blood on the inside of the shower curtain but I wasn't going to find out if it was blood or not. Our TV had a line going down the middle of the screen. It was a nice hotel when we first stayed there the first time but after about four visits I could say that was my last every time I think it's going to get better it doesn't At this point now the carpets are torn up and there's strips of Paint missing all the way down the hallway. Maybe in 10 years when they finally finish the construction it'll be nice again but as of November 2024 it is in terrible condition and it's dirty The walls are so thin you can hear everybody's conversation

Condition of the building inside was terrible.In the room the carpet was torn right at the door. Bed comfortable, chairs not. Coffe setup had 1 reg coffe pod and 1 decaff. There were areas in bathroom you could see had water damage. There was nothing in room telling you about hotel ie pool, any places that delivered to hotel, hours of self serve breakfast. People at desk only talked to you if you talked to them first. Elevator was very dirty and very old. Stayed at LaQuitas in past, never this bad. Dissapointed in breakfast.

Disaster
Beginning with tv would not turn on. No maintenance on staff to correct. Two trips to the lobby for a fix. Finally got it on—but a double picture. Went to get ice—no ice bucket. Went to check in again. No buckets. I booked a room for three. One towel and wash cloth. Back to the lobby again. Elevator not working. 5th floor. Youngest person in the room is 65. No hot water in the bathroom. Cold shower. Not lukewarm. Cold. Ice machine broken on my floor. Elevator still broken at check out. Five floors with luggage for three seniors. Plus side—good location, comfortable beds, great linens.

Didnt take photos too disgusting for my camera
This hotel was renovating, dirty, it appears they rent as temp residence to people. Couple was fighting and tearing up the room next door to me. I never heard customer service or the police comebto their room. They were loud enough to wake up the whole hotel. The elevator to get ice was filty dirty, dried stains all over it, i had to use the elevator to get ice i was scared to press the buttons, all the dirt and filt. The carpet was filty and disgusting, stains all over. The place wreep of a funny smell. No hot water the first night. I wanted a refund for the 2nd night, i had to go through my 3rd party whom i paid for reservations. 3rd party said they get back to me in few hrs, then email, will contact me in 72 hrs. I was forced to stay the 2nd night bc i dont have money to throw away. Them people faught for at least 4 hrs from approx 11pm to 3am, i will never ever book through a 3rd party again. The hotel is not what it appeared to be the 3rd party also sucked. I had a beautiful occasion that i had to come to jacsksonville for and my stay at this hotel was a miserable stay. When that couple threw something against the wall, i thought it was going to land in my room. I heard everything. I heard when he called the police and no one came not even the hotel manager. So this is something thatis normal for this hotel! With guest! Omg i will not recommend hotels.com or la quinta to anyone ever. Youll suck. And dont tell me your not responsible bc you are. You advertise this hotel.
