Kadıköy is the area to stay, if you like to eat and drink well on a reasonable budget. Loved catching the ferries to the tourist sights in the day to the other parts of the city. The M4 Metro runs direct to the Gökßen Airport (SAW) for € 0.50 each!

Good place for families. Lots of police presence, so felt safe. All main mosques and museums within easy walking distance. Plenty of dining options and shops around, all open till very late night. The trams are very frequent and run till late night.

Istanbul is a fantastic city. This is our 6th visit and still find new interesting places each time. The prices are far better on the Asian side , Kadikoy area as most tourists stay on European side To cross the Bosphorus costs 20tl(less than 50p )

You may need an online Turkish to English translator always on hand to avoid miscommunication (probably should get a Turkish SIM-card w/ Internet access). Learn how to use and refill Istanbul Card before your arrival (watch some videos on Youtube)

It's such a unique place to be in. So much to see and do. Public transport is the way to travel, by far the easiest and cheapest. Forget Bosphorous tours, use the public ferry! Each area is different so it's great to be exploring. Very busy though!

If you like cities, Istanbul is fascinating. It is not quiet though! Apart from the major attractions, many within walking distance, we enjoyed a Bosphorus cruise and a visit to the amazing Museum of Innocence with insight into more recent history.

We had a fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend the Istanbul travel card which we used on the tram system and ferries. Turkish people were so friendly and willing to help. Information volunteers and tourist police everywhere to help also.

My first visit to Istanbul was a very positive surprise. A modern European city full of well maintained and preserved ancient sites. Easy to navigate...a great tourist city. I was there two full days, and could easily have spent a couple more.

Safe, friendly and so much to see! Lots of walking and hills wherever you go. Consider staying a few nights in Sultanhamet area, then move to a different section of town for a completely different experience. Like visiting several cities in one!

Istanbul is a city that has so much history to offer. Other than the many must go places, even roaming aimlessly in it was a treat. You simply would run into places you unexpected sights that were interesting. At least that's my experience.
"The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast was also good with decent options. Conveniently located to many attractions. "
"Best hotel I’ve stayed in . I’ve never been anywhere where the staff are that genuinely friendly . As a solo traveller it made my brief visit to Istanbul so much better . I’ll be back with my family !"
"Place is well maintained, cleaned daily. Staff are very friendly and provided full support during our 7 day stay there. This place is highly recommended "
"Beautiful hotel property perched above a central area to the main attractions. Breakfast is sensational with attentive staff. Check in was a breeze and our room was ready prior to check-in time. Great restaurant options in the hotel and close to other key sights. Our stay was very comfortable from the breakfast, the pool area, the gym to drinks. Spacious rooms for 2 guests."
