It was an absolutely fantastic experience at Ocean El Faro. There is so much to do there that even in 6 days we were not able to make use of all the available entertainment, restaurant or amenities. Since it's built in 2019, the aesthetics and decor is very current and 'instagrammable'. The room was beautiful. Everything was exactly as you see in the promo video on YouTube.
The beach, as you might have read in other reviews was very rocky, which, unfortunately, is not really in their control. So what I would highly recommend is to bring water shoes if you really want to swim in the back. But quite frankly, there are so much to do outside of the beach, like the other pools and lazy river etc. We barely felt like we missed out on the beach.
Also, another pro tip is if you go to the very far left of the resort (there will be a sign saying you are stepping off the property and you take your own responsibility) there is a small alcove where the sand is much nicer and finer and there is absolutely no rocks and if it is a windy / wavy day they die down by the time they enter that space. So a great private beach like feel and experience.
The food variety was amazing. Lots of options for every kind of eater. Restaurants (you have to book in advance through their app, same day only) we're hard to find bookings for before 8:30 pm, even if you try first thing in the morning. Our favourite was the Italian restaurant called Dolce Vita.
