Conveniently located. B&B advertised, but only after booking do you get an e-mail to say there’s no breakfast offered. Not sure if the price reflects this, as for a room only basis it is quite pricey.

Great stay
We had a great stay for 2 nights. It’s a nice walk into centre of Oxford. The room was clean and tidy. Nice comfortable bed. Good value. Staff really lovely and friendly.

Old walk-up, walking distance to Central Oxford
The floors were very noisy, disturbing guests below. We were given a room on the 4th floor and there was no lift. There was not always an agent onsite. There was a very convenient lot to park the car at no expense.

Adequate housing. Tight room. Bed not real comfortable. Had to walk over a mile to the train station when it advertised as "close" to the station. 3/4 mile to the Oxford sites.

While this small hotel is situated on a main road in Oxford, it was still a very nice facility to stay in. Buses are easy to catch into town, and there are several nice and small restaurants close by that are easily walked to. Even though they don’t serve breakfast, they are accommodating with their facilities if you purchase food locally and need to store something, along with providing dishes and cutlery. The rims are very comfortable, and the en suite bathroom is very nice. Would recommend this property without hesitation.

Largest room we stayed at the whole time in the UK. And our daughter actually had a bed and not a pull out couch.

Great location.
Great location, easy walk into Oxford city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Amirr. We arrived early hoping to drop the bags off, but we were lucky and our room was ready so able to get straight in. The car park around the back has spaces for 6 cars, so advise to get there early, it was about 11.30am when we arrived and were only car there. It is an old building but has been renovated tastefully with neutral decor throughout. The en-suite whilst quite small was perfectly functional with a good shower and plenty of shower gel etc. The fan in the room was a very welcome addition on a warm night. The only negative which may be a problem for some people were the amount of stairs up to some of the floors. If this could be a problem I would suggest requesting a lower floor. For us it was ok being on the top floor and possibly quieter. Although they no longer serve breakfast at Newton House, there is so much choice in Oxford it self. If walking is a problem then there was a bus stop just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend for a short visit to Oxford.

The property itself was wonderful. We had a lovely room at the top of the building. Furnishings and cleanliness were excellent. 2 drawbacks- if you were elderly, or not in the best of shape, carrying cases to the top floor would be a difficult task. Unfortunately, we arrived in 29 degree heat, and the room was extremely hot!!!! Great walking distance to Oxford city centre!

Room was fine but smelled weird (damp maybe) as did hallways. Perfectly functional for one night.
