Where do I start, the beds were clean, but that’s all, fly infested dirty Sh*thole, that i wouldn’t have paid £4.70 for if i’d known. Breakfast was in this 10x3 narrow kitchen, curry sauce in the butter, people where buttering bread and then putting it in toaster, jam etc with butter in jar, no juice, only tea and coffee, bin overflowing, dishes everywhere, patched up walls, broken and unpainted skirting boards etc, just well Yuk ! Pity I can’t post pics

FILTHY
I was shocked that Hotel.com would entertain such a place. The accommodation was filthy, and I kept getting bit all night long. I hardly slept and I was on a long drive and needed a good sleep. The room I got was absolutely roasting as it was above the kitchen for the Indian restaurant. I was working on my laptop at a desk and things kept crawling all over my laptop and desk. The shower was unusable as it was filthy. This is definitely not the accommodation I expected from Hotel.com and I use the site a lot.

Stay away sleep in your car for a better night
Worst place ever stayed. Had to ring helpline for them to call and wake up the "24 reception desk " person who was in bed. Eventually got access to room. He said there was no key available so leave on oatch when going to car etc. Comnunial area was a corridor kutchen and filthy. Had to serve self. Outsuse looked partly luke a clised pub, partly a building site, partly a druggies drop off point. Bed was ok but overall i wouldnt recommend to my wirst enemy

Run down Lodge
The whole lodge is like a run down building. You have to enter from the front and then through the kitchen to climb the stairs to your room. The extractor fan is so loud. And the TV wasn't working. They said that they would sort it out but nothing was done. Also the owner said that the TV cannot be switched on after 10pm. I had to request for a kettle in the room. Breakfast is nothing special except cornflakes and cereals, tea, coffee & milk. Although the person working did give me some little rice with chicken curry one night as the kitchen had closed by 10pm. Overall very disappointing and i wouldn't be staying here again.

Anything but Slap up
The ONLY saving graces are the convenient location and that the room was reasonably clean. The exterior was a dumping ground, the entrance was through a working servery and the facilities entirely lacking. It felt, looked and acted like a hostel, not a hotel and the staff were completely not up to the task. Avoid this venue if you are in a relationship, for it will test it to breaking point

AWFUL CONDITION
The kitchen was disgusting, full of flies and we even found flies in the fridge, which also had mould and was in a very dirty condition. The bed sheet and duvet had dirt marks on them, and we found ants running in the bed...! The pillows were dirty, again with marks on them. The bedside table and bedroom furniture were full of dust, and the carpet was dirty and had clearly not been hoovered. The rubbish bin was still full of rubbish from the previous occupant, and there was just one small hand towel in the room; the toilet roll was nearly finished, and there was no shower gel or soap in the bathroom. The bathroom was also full of ants - after our trip, we looked more closely at the website, and we found that the photos on the website are nothing like the reality...for example, the breakfast table in the photo looks clean, fresh and really nice but that Sunday, for our breakfast, there was no staff around and the kitchen only had an old bag of white bread, a nearly finished jar of jam, the butter in the fridge had flies around it and in all honesty, the whole place was a disgrace and a mis-representation of the service offered, and of the bedroom and the breakfast that they imply they offer on the website......!!!!!

Avoid
Although this was a cheap option, it was still not value for money. Outside was a building site but the inside was much worse. The room was right next to the A14 but there was no sound proofing and no black out curtains. There was human organic matter smeared to various walls in the bedroom and hair in the shower. The place needs a deep clean and tidying up. The long term residents didn't seem to mind...

Very good price
Just perfect for my two night stay in the area. Very good price. Also enjoyed having Amazon prime on the TV in my room... something you don't often get in Hotels four times the price.

2 night stay
From the outside it did not look too appealing! However when we go inside we were met by some warm friendly staff and then the owner. The family run business is a project developing. The restuarant / dining area had a nice ambiance to it, nice decoration with some pictures of the parent country. Our Indian meal was absolutely fantastic, lots of help by staff to explain each item we asked about. The meal had lots of different tastes and there was plenty of it. So much in fact we did not actually finish all the food served. The meal was very reasonably priced. The room we stayed in is a project still developing, which will i am sure be very good and comfortable. We did have a discussion re the room and made some simple suggestions how they could improve it in the short term. The owner listened carefully and thanked us for the suggestions. They went out of there way to make our stay as good as possible. They staff put in an extension cable for us so we could charge our phones and electric equipment on our bikes. They then provided us with a plug in stick for the TV with a control so that we could have a choice of films to watch. Our meal the next day was just a good, but this time we reduced our order so as not to waste food. We even got a bowl of vanilla ice cream on the house to have with our flapjacks in our room. All in all a very good stay for 2 nights and we would definately go back to stay again to see how there project is developing especially sound proofing / black outs

I wasn’t able to get there due to testing positive for covid on the way and turned back home to the Isle of Wight. I didn’t want to infect anyone else and felt terrible but was pleased that you are sorting out a postponement or refund. A concerned member of staff from the venue also called as we hadn’t arrived and I hadn’t been able to get through when trying to inform them earlier. We hope to be staying there in the near future when my wife rebooks the hospital appointment. Thank you. Mark C Collins

Night in Cambridge
Stayed out of time to reduce costs on accomodation and parking in Cambridge. As just a place to stay this place was fine. Not the cleanest or most modern but comfortable beds which was all i was bothered about. Checking in involved going in to the closed restaurant and getting the kitchen staff to call the manager who then came to the reception area which was a chair. I would stay again for the same sort of night but would not use it for my partner or family.

Shabby & rundown! Terrible place!
Apart from the location which is decent from the city centre, everything else was bad, from checkin being totally unprofessional, just being handed my keys in a restaurant, to dirty and mouldy carpet, walls, creaky staircase, wobbly doors, dirty bathrooms. Oh i was also very kindly offered breakfast the next day as i was leaving, i was pointed to a small fridge with butter and jam in it and a loaf of bread on the table. Upon checking the date tag in the bread, i saw that it expired 3 days ago!
