Accomodation was adequate, but location misleading
Room 10 was comfortable, clean and quiet. Booked for two nights due to attending family funeral in Cullompton. Disappointed to discover, the hotel was about ten miles from Cullompton address. Pub restaurant with extensive menu - but both our first choices of main course were unavailable. Continental breakfast was miserable, although pleased to have toast from proper bread.

Exceptional 10.0
We stayed in a very generous sized family room. Very clean and comfortable. The beds were bliss to sleep on! The price for the accommodation was very good considering it was also bank holiday. We ate in the restaurant both nights we were there and the food was very good with generous portions and reasonably priced. We’d have no hesitation in recommending The Waterloo Cross.

Visit the donkeys
We had a couple of nights there so we could visit the nearby Sidmouth donkey Sanctuary. The staff were very helpful and friendly the food was to die for. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
