Honest Review with first Time Visit To DR
Your experience overall will come from the types of Hotels you have stayed at. Some of the things we were used to such as being in the pool and ordering food and drink isn't done here, its just drinks and in certain pools. Rooms are standard and could use a makeover. Even our room with the personal swimming pool had only 1 standard American Plug which was a nightmare, but the other rooms have them all over. Very quiet and the entertainment is lacking. The breakfast is standard and i feel needs a bit more variety because if your there 7 days your eating standard breakfast food and really cant mix it up. The restaurants food was made very well and the Pizza at Sorento was some of the best i ever had from a resort or cruise. The Welcome breakfast is a timeshare pitch, so if you feel like its worth the 30 minute massage you will be set back 2/3 hours so do the math, but for us it wasnt worth it. They will push it but not to the point you feel trapped. Its a business so if you go there knowing what to expect just let it roll off you. The drinks were ok but but not anything top shelf. The real stars of the resort honestly were the employees especially in the bars and restaurants. Anuery was a one man show. no slight to the other workers but it was to the point you had to question if he even needed others around him because he was everywhere doing everything. Not a bad Resort at all. Again it really depends on what you experienced before. It is excellent for those new to mid tier.

The facility was nice but the pool was outdTed .. now the other resort which was not the adult only was newly remodeled pool .. the staff was all very helpf and nice I would stay again the only down fall is THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE ONLY THING REMOTELY GOOD WAS BREAKFAST!!! I also got sick from eating something there .. but overall I did enjoy myself just not sure I would go back actually I’m sure I won’t return to this specific resort !! I will give the biggest thanks to the staff every was soo delightful!!!

Lo único q tal vez cambiaría es que el entretenimiento sea hasta mas tarde por lo menos los fines de semana, porque luego de las 10pm no hay nada que hacer. Fuera de eso espectacularr. When we arrived it was very underwhelming. Typically we are greeted with drinks and great positivity. It was just a long, slow line waiting to check in. It took about 40 minutes for us to be seen because there were only 3 people working the front desk. We did get juice provided while we wait, but not typical champagne as expected. After getting checked in, I wanted a real drink. I looked at the selection at the bar, and it was terrible. They had Jack Daniel’s as an “exclusive member” only choice. What a joke. I love JD, but it is bottom rail. The bar tenders would walk right by my wife and serve others that came after her. Totally dismissed on several occasions. We typically tip very well at the beginning of our trip in order to get great service. Unfortunately, no one even tried to earn our money. My wife and I still made the best of or week there, but we won’t be going back.
