An Okay Experience
We tried to relax on the beach but had quite a few people trying to sell us stuff. The food wasn’t great. The staff in the Finest Club was very nice but the rest of the staff wasn’t very friendly. I never write reviews but was disappointed to try and change up our usual vacation to Mexico and go to the Dominican Republic and probably won’t be back!

We liked that all the staff is so nice and attentive . Always asking if we needed anything . We celebrated our honeymoon and they went above and beyond to give us a good experience reserving a special diner for us with champagne and everything .

Our overall experience at the Finest Hotel and Resort in Punta Cana was very disappointing. My wife and I took our children there for fall break, seeking an all-inclusive resort that could accommodate our family with a separate room for our three kids, and the Finest seemed to meet our needs. Upon arrival, we were offered an upgrade to the club suites and experience for an additional $900, which we accepted. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a disaster. We had to change rooms twice due to a strong mold smell in both of the initial club suites. The rooms were not clean, and the same was true for the pools. For example, the private pool in the club-level suite was dirty and unusable. The closet had layers of dust, and the floor wasn’t properly mopped, even after daily housekeeping. We also found cookies left in the roller bed from previous guests. While the staff noticed this, it took them four hours to relocate us to another room. Although the third room was better, there was still a persistent mold smell. The staff were friendly, but lacked the professionalism and training to provide a good level of service. The food was also subpar, with limited choices and questionable freshness, even with the club upgrade. This was not our first time staying at an all-inclusive resort in Punta Cana, but it was by far the worst experience. While the hotel staff apologized for the inconvenience and made attempts to improve our stay, the overall experience remained disappointing.

This is not a luxury all-inclusive. The facility is nice. The food is below average bulk-made fare. It was difficult to communicate with local DR staff as they did not seem to understand any requests or seem acquainted with the hotel’s advertised services. Several times restaurants did not open for lunch as planned especially if it rained. We were left with no food options on several days. Then when we did get to eat items were very over cooked to the point of difficult to chew or virtually raw. My son and I were starving for almost a week! Constant expectation to tip for everything. Its DR, I get it but just inconveniencing because we had to make sure to have cash every time we left the room but the resort could not exchange for bills smaller than $20. We paid for a private pool family suite but the light never worked even after calling maintenance several times. Nothing at the kids club happens at scheduled time so my son got disappointed a few times because the activity he went there for didn’t happen. Overall, not worth the money. Not necessarily the resort’s fault, but the beach also looks nothing like the photos.

I recently spent a week at The Finest Resort in Punta Cana, staying in an Excellence Club private pool junior suite. Unfortunately, my experience was far from relaxing. From the start, I felt uncomfortable due to the behavior of several male employees, who made inappropriate comments about my looks and tattoos. The concierge in my hallway even asked for my WhatsApp for assistance, but continued to message me after I left, making me feel unsafe. The food quality was disappointing; meals were poorly prepared and tasteless. Room service was incredibly slow, taking over two hours each morning, and my orders were consistently wrong. By the end of my stay, I couldn’t stomach the food, with the best meal being at the airport. I also struggled to relax on the beach due to constant harassment from vendors. The resort’s tipping policy was misleading; while the website stated tips were included, I received subpar service without cash tips, leading to watered-down drinks and dismissive staff. The spa services were overpriced and underwhelming, with basic treatments costing over $500. Noise was a constant issue, making it difficult to find peace; even my private pool time was disrupted by loud music. Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning. The male staff need training on professionalism, especially regarding single women.
