Monterey Park has revitalization that is working. It's a cool Asian vibe all over the place mixed with Americana. If you want to be close to all the action but not in the middle of it Monterey is for you.

Felt like a safe area, seemed cleaner than other nearby neighborhoods (less homeless people and less garbage on the streets). People I passed on the sidewalk or in businesses were friendly.

"The hotel is right across the street from the Crypto Arena which was perfect. I had a concert I was going to and being able to just walk across the street was so convenient. The front desk was also very helpful and was actually able to get me checked in early since they had a room available. "
"Fantastic stay centrally located in an building steeped in history and glamor. All staff was kind, friendly and many have a history of working there for many years. This place makes me happy. The craftsmanship and architectural details are to be cherished as should the staff. It's 100 year old building and it is in downtown Los Angeles, take that into consideration and don't expect The Four Seasons in Beverley Hills. I would be happy to stay here when next in town. The bar downstairs and food was also solid. "
