Freeport is a cute place to shop for all sorts of products, starting with LLBean's huge flagship stores. There are boutiques and gift stores all within walking distance. Freeport is near Portland and all the beautiful coastal areas in midcoast Maine.

Lots of shopping and dining. Opportunities for outdoor adventures. Fabulous as a destination of its own, and just as great as a gateway to all that Maine has to offer.

The area is a shopping mecca, so it attracts tourists. The immediate area is wooded and quiet, although Rt 1 is busy heading into the shopping district.

Great little New England town with good shopping and restaurants Would be even better if everything was open on Sundays but, a few restaurants were closed. Assuming it's still considered off season now and they open during the busy summer period

Freeport is great if you're interested in shopping. Not much else to do, otherwise. Be prepared for expensive meals out.

There's not much to do in Freeport besides shop, but it was a good location in between various events we had to go to.

Great microbreweries in the area and some surprisingly good walking in small state parks
"So beautiful, peaceful, quiet, and tranquil. We had a wonderfully restful stay. The house is very nicely renovated and the guest rooms are tastefully decorated; very comfortable. Everything was great. "
"This property was amazing. The check in was so fast and convenient. There were afternoon snacks and tea available when we arrived. It was very easy and convenient parking on site. The location was an easy walk to shops and restaurants. Overall this hotel and the location was awesome!"

"The hotel is fabulous. Just don’t expect great restaurants right where the hotel is. But they are downtown which is not far to drive. Hotel has shuttle to airport. If I have the opportunity I would definitely stay again. "
"From the outside the building looks a little sketchy and the lobby looking the same, but the room was clean and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was nice but the earlier you get to it, the more variety you'll have (whoever is in charge of keeping up with the breakfast bar keeps the hot foods restocked). The staff was super friendly and housekeeping is helpful and super sweet. The hotel was quiet at night and the beds super soft and comfortable. I didn't eat at the restaurant connected to the hotel, but there's good reviews on their website. All in all check-in and out process super fast and easy "
