The Capitol Hotel Sydney
10/10 Excellent
"I've stayed here often. In the middle of the bustling theatre and Chinatown/Thaitown district of Sydney CBD, the location is perfect for those who like nightlife and excellent casual dining.
It's a little oasis amongst this busy area, where your room is quiet and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
For those who like privacy, know that no-one can even enter the building, let alone reach your floor, without either having their room key or requesting entry to the building with the intercom.
The only thing I don't personally like is that it has one of those TV's that is so smart, it can't receive local free-to-air channels, but 100 other channels, of course.
I've stayed here maybe 20 times now. It's my preferred hotel in this area, and may well become yours."
"Hotel is located just behind Darling Harbour so plenty of dining options nearby.
We stayed in one of the Club rooms which was a very generous size and the club lounge offered good variety of breakfast and evening drinks/canapes etc.
Staff were also excellent and always happy to assist.
Would happily stay again. "
"So central to everything, we left the car at the Domain car park, 10 min walk to the Paradox, freshen up, head out for drinks at the Opera Bar, had a chant with Hare Krishnas on George Street, drinks at Tank Stream and dinner at Mr Wong. We were up early for a Spa, steam room and Pool, checked out, dropped our bags back at the car and went to Botanical Gardens for breakfast. So much to do. Staff and service were great at the Paradox!"
