I was only one night so I didn’t care too much but it was good if you want an economic option to stay
Amir, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Ok, but nothing amazing

Pleasant helpful staff, basic accommodation , fixed wall shower, so not as good to clean yourself properly, or for staff to clean the shower, a few hairs stuck on the shower wall and towels smelt funny. Like they’d been hung up to dry in a kitchen, fine and quiet, would be good to have a little shop area with some toiletries, sanitary wear etc and a bell/ buzzer would be helpful for the reception, if there aren’t any staff in there, although, someone did come quickly when I shouted through.

4/10 Fair

Stay if no other option

Rooms are tired, shower is only a dribble, floorboards in all rooms creaking could be heard, ceiling outside room uncovered and stained. Desk area marked.
Debbie, 1-night trip

The property was very nice and clean

I come with my husband only for a one night as was our sons graduation. Check in was fast. We were staying in the annex building room 104. Upon entering i could smell dump no smell of cleanliness Frome outside you could hear traffic all night. In the bathroom shower gel disposal hard to use, no shampoo. Very disappointed. When we come back from dinner our room key didn't work we went back to reception ( empty,) Waiting for anybody from the staff to appear for about 10min. Will never stay at travelodge again.

Very average

For the price I paid I expected much more. The hotel didnt even look like a hotel with the entrance around the corner and no reception area. The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable but I could hear people walking above at night. There were no toiletries in the bathroom and internet was free for 30 minutes. If you wanted more time it was £3 I expected better for the price

Average and extra costs!

Staying in an annex building. Key card did not work. Had to walk back to reception to get a new one. Arrived 50 mins early. Paid £15 to check in earlier. Internet was £9 for 2 and a half days. This was NOT clear on the listing.
Johan, 3-night trip

Convenient for Durham Cory with added advantage of free parking.

My stay was generally very good. The only small gripe was a bit of confusion over the exit. The road markings had been worn away and it wasn't easy to see where to go.
Kathryn, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is a decent option and within walking distance to city centre (<15 min). However it is very basic
Anastasia, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great for a 15 minute walk through colleges to river and city centre. Impressed with the automated vacuum cleaner spotted wandering the corridor !
Philip, 2-night trip

Nice convenient location in Durham with friendly helpful staff

6/10 Good

The sink was not clean: hair and beard. Not breakfast was possible
Catherine, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good location. Spacious room and good value for money but it feels a bit unnecessary to only give 30 minutes free wi-fi and ask people to pay after that.

One night Durham

Very clean and well placed hotel to service Durham
MARK, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

A good location if you want to walk a bit to any restaurants in the area. Very basic hotel in terms of amenities and the style of accommodation.
Perry, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Large spacious room, well kept and very clean, ample parking and minutes from town centre, easy access to main routes.
Richard, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Fine for a one night stay. 20 minute walk to the University and town.
Sharon, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

the look of the property was different given it was once an old railway station, nice and handy for town Furniture was well worn, bathroom bit grubby and net curtains hanging off the rail
Mr Anthony, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Clean and tidy hotel with free parking and within walking distance of the city centre.

The main building was an old building reused. The annex seemed a little isolated - no reception desk. This would have just allowed a little more human contact
1-night trip

2/10 Poor

When we got to our room it was freezing, the heater was on full but the room was Baltic,we gave it an hour to see if it heated up but it didnt,we asked at reception if they had any portable heaters but the didnt, again we gave it another half hour or so to see if the room warmed up,but still know joy,i then rang and booked alternative accommodation.

I think consideration to explain my room was in a separate building would have been nice. I was alone with a toddler and could have used some assistance. The cleaner ignored me when i was clearly struggling. The room was fine but when crouched down the carpet obviously smelt of vomit.
