Decent stay, 3.5 stars
The room was small, think carnival cruise size room, no room to spread out and felt a little cramped even with just 2 people. No street noise (aside from typical nyc honking and sirens) on 5th floor. Elevators took a long time, we ended up using the stairs most of the time. Mattress and pillows weren’t very comfortable. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast, nothing special, but they kept food coming out and cleared tables quickly. Location was nice, right off the main streets but still easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do in the area. Service was good, the few staff members we interacted with were friendly.

Perfectly suitable
Small rooms, which we new and many have said and Skipped the breakfast as not the greatest. We didnt stay there for a big room or great breakfast. We stayed for the location. Right next to Time square and walking distance to pretty much all the things to see in New York. We stayed in Jan so not 100% full and could potential see that queues for lifts might be a slight issue. Overall, great hotel to stay in if you want to save a bit of cash to spend elsewhere on your holiday

Not worth it
The rooms are smaller than a closet, we couldn’t move through the room without having to go up on the bed. There was barely space to put the baby bed we brought. The fitted sheets were too small for the bed and kept pulling off the sides of the bed. We had to re-make the bed several time throughout the night. It took ages for the elevators to come and when they did, they were always full. Breakfast was subpar with powdered eggs and cheap options. It was definitely not worth it.

Great for families?
I'm a solo traveler who loves a hotel breakfast, so I picked this hotel for central location, free breakfast, and affordable prices. Great location. Times Square is busy but gets you everywhere you need to go. Free breakfast: utter chaos. Impossible to find a seat, long lines, basement seating isn't accessible if your disabled. I could only manage breakfast one of four mornings in the hotel. Hotel is combined with a Home Stay suites who also share the breakfast room. Elevators are modern, which means there's are no button in the elevator. People on mid/high floors have to wait 30 minutes for an elevator during peak hours. Room was teeny tiny (expected) but I'd rather have a smaller bed and be able to walk between foot of bed and TV. If you are fat or disabled or overwhelmed by chaos at breakfast, don't stay here.

Small but very nice
Overall, it was a nice place to stay. The only issue I have at all is with the size of the room itself - it was small and tight which made moving around in it for two people a little difficult. Every other aspect was great though.

Great location!
Tyrek was excellency during check-in. Impressed with Rosie who texted several times to see how the say was going. Breakfast was fine, soggy fired potatoe patties and coffee/tea needs to be located in the breakfast area. Crazy to have to walk thru the lobby to get coffee. Yogurt and boiled eggs would be a nice addition. Elevator doors need interior cleaning, heater was extremely noisy in the room. Hotel is fairly new so it looks clean, but housekeeper/lobby staff needs to do a better job cleaning. Floor was dirty in the room. Towels were thin a rough. The bin of clean towels blocking hallways all day and needs to be relocated somewhere. Hotel needs a linen closet on each room instead of blocking the hallways. Very unsightly and egress issue. Hotel location was great and overall a good value for the price. Mngmt just needs to be more attentive.
