Good location. Easy to get into city or explore Long Island City. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room (bigger than budget hotel rooms you find in the city). Only complaint would be the low water pressure in the shower.
Nice hotel - with newly renovated areas, very close to the subway with a ~10 min journey into the center of Manhattan. The only drawback is breakfast is limited and expensive if not included.
While the hotel isn't smack dab in the middle of the bright lights of Manhattan, it is very well served by multiple subway stations and platforms within minutes walk (one is literally 20 seconds from the front door). Many of the city's main lines run through 36st, and you can arrive at Rockefeller Centre, 5th Avenue, or One World Trade centre within 20 minutes and with minimal transfers. Within 10 minutes walk from the hotel is laid back neighbourhood of Astoria, an area on the rise in the city (or so I'm told). Here you can find all sorts of restaurants for all tastes and counter to a previous review I've read here, plenty of options for Breakfast or Brunch. The area also has it's own attractions such as Kaufman Astoria Studios which hosts the Museum of Moving Pictures but it's a great area to just stroll around in to get a taste of the real multicultural New York lifestyle. As for the hotel itself, I couldn't be happier. This is a boutique hotel, with a laid back style, so if you are expecting bellhops and doormen, look elsewhere. What you get are pleasant helpful staff, who are just as happy to have a casual chat with you as they are to check you in. The hotel is stylish, clean, warm and well appointed. The high ceilings are a particular stand out feature. We didn't try the restaurant, but the coffee bar was a lifesaver. It was a bit noisy at night, but that's New York for you. Altogether, a great hotel, experience and highly recommended. Will stay here again.
I think the hotel is very "New York" and it's a shame the venue are all closed and really couldn't enjoy it compeletly
Great hotel, great views and it was very peaceful stay! Would recommend!
the place is beautiful but the bed was not comfortable nor the pillows, the set back was the marihuana smoke our room felt us if they had smoke inside we had to open the windows but no luck.
Everything was amazing, very comfortable and the staff very nice, Covid safe and the towels were super soft I was surprised. My room also had the bathroom separate from the shower this was a great design idea. Only thing you don’t have is a mini fridge which wasn’t a big deal as I was only there over night.
Fantastic hotel, very close to 36 street station
Staff was totally rude and disrespectful
The hotel was real trendy!!! The room was real comfortable and cool ambiance. I personally would have liked a fridge and a microwave in the room since they charge a non negotiable resort fee. Also there is absolutely no parking!!!
