Where to start ? Hmmmm.
The broken elevator should have been a warning for me.
Then I was charged an extra $50 for early check-in at noon.
The shower curtain is too short and the nozzle cannot be angled down far enough, so when I showered, all the water went against the curtain and pushed it out so all the water flows onto the bathroom floor.
In addition, the light switches for the bathroom are INSIDE the shower !! I fairly sure that is not even allowed under N.Y. electrical codes.
The room is very small, but they installed mirrors on both walls, so it seems larger.
Nice big TV to keep your mind off the small room.
The hallway smelled a bit from marijuana and the room had an ashtray in it, so maybe all the rooms are smoking (I'm not sure about that). And two cigarette burns on the wall in my room.
The ice machine was right outside our room (C10), and it was beeping ALL night long. Had to wear ear plugs to get to sleep. And still woke up every time someone dispensed ice.
The floors are all tiled, so sound travels well and the walls are fairly thin. Be prepared to hear your loud rooms nearby.
The exterior neighborhood is not the best, but at least the hotel is directly beside the train station. Only went out briefly for food and only the Golden Crust was still serving anything halfway decent. They close at 8pm. Another sign that the neighborhood is sketchy.
