Fair 4.0
Cool and youthful place, but not so friendly staff
Firstm on my booking info at hotels.com it said that check in was from 3pm. On weekends though, it's from 4pm which I didnt know. Update please! ;) Secondly....when I finally returned to the hotel after more than one hour to check in, my room wasn't ready. So I had to wait until the cleaner was done. Then my keycard was blocked the second night- and I had to go to get it unblocked at the reception....and then back there again to get new bed sheets. because someone had apparently taken my bed and bed sheets (though I had my bottle next to it). Also I had to move to another room for the very last night because it was obviously more important that some groups could stay together than that I could keep my luggage and bed-linen in the same room. So far so cool, the way the reception staff (the men) treated me as I put forward my complaints was pathetic. They told me to complain online instead, so I did. If it wasn't for them my stay would probably have been more delightful. The female receptionist was lovely and very helpful. So was the breakfast staff. Please Hostel Van Gogh, work on your service-skills because people who come to you might actually need some rest and at least some understanding words! :)

Chambre sans Artiste:))
Check-in was at 16.00 not 15.00.For basic stay in Bruxelles nothing to complain. Probably cleaner was trying to access my room around 7am-8am day after...I was still in.Very good location and walking distance to old town.I had a single room, french balcony and sink in the room.Friendly receptionist.I would recommend anyway.
