Nice place to stay for a work trip
Great stay
Ben, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Comfy standard stay
Very comfortable room in Peter Scott House but bathroom was very cold and didn’t really expect all the mobility appliances and lack of a bath. However still comfortable
Claire, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Terrible stay
The Bathroom smelt of blocked drains, every time the heating kicked in the pipes rattled and the towel heater sounded like it was going to come off the wall.
karl, 1-night trip

Ok but nothing special
Basic room is what looks like updated student accommodation, all meals are on other hotel restaurant not onsite, it’s only a couple of minutes walk but not fun is the cold/ rain.

I enjoyed my stay. Booked again.
Sophie, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Basic but the price was good. You have to check in at the Edgbaston Park Hotel over the road, and the parking there is free.
John, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent value for money, perfect for university.
David, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Conveniently located for Birmingham Uni. Basic, but good value. 2 minutes walk to Edgbaston Park Hotel, where you check in. Decent bar food and an excellent breakfast at Edgbaston Park.

Nice stay, good value
David, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great location and clean rooms.
Sajida, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Had all the necessities needed and was warm, clean and quiet with plenty of desk space. The only problem was the poor condition of the shower.
Jenny, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The building smelled strongly of emulsion throughout the communal areas and in the bathroom. The shower pan was chipped and stained, giving the impression that it wasn't clean.
Serena, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The room was a good size but the bathroom a little small. Good location for Edgbaston Cricket ground (bout 20/25 minute walk). Staff at reception on check in, polite & helpful. Shops/restaurants about a 20 minute walk away.

Weekend away
It was convenient for what we needed, room was basic but clean and tidy. The food was very good

Good area.

Temperature can be a problem on some corridors (e.g. too hot). The rooms in my experience
Edward, 5-night trip

Ideal location for the University of Birmingham
The hotel is ideally suited for visits to Birmingham University. The University railway station is only a 10-15 mins (approx) walk away. Unfortunately, the ensuite bathroom was a bit dated and the shower tray had some cosmetic damage. The room was a bit too hot and the mechanism for the Roman blinds wasn't working properly. One of the bedside lights didn't work properly either. It was OK for a short stay. Breakfast was served in a building about a 3-5 minute walk away. There was a great choice and the restaurant was very nice. You also had to collect your key from this building too.

Love the nearest to the University, shops nearby, warm, clean, free parking, great shower.
Sharon, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

A pleasant stay
Peter Scott House is comfortable and clean, but a little tired, however this is reflected in the price, compared to the main Edgbaston Park Hotel. The bar area is lovely, as is the dining area and breakfast. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel surroundings are beautiful. A very pleasant stay.
Ellen, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Excellent value, free gym / pool pass
J, 1-night trip

Not at all what the pictures showed. Felt like staying in a nursing home/dorm room. Lovely staff!
Kevin, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

Great for an overnight stay near the university
Perfect for an overnight stay. Room and everything we needed, check in was smooth and the bed was very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!
Hannah, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The room is very dated. There are no staff at the property, so I couldn't really rate the staff, but I didn't want to give 1 start for that, but it's really N/A. the lift has been out of order for months. On the upside, it was quiet.
Geraldine, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Was okay but the TV receptions need seeing too.
The room was okay but the tv reception was very very patchy, close to unwatchable which was a shame as we intended to have a lazy day together but couldn’t watch the tv at all.
James, 2-night trip

It was comfortable
