Very nice hotel on Lower East Side
Very good room with a gorgeous view over the lower part of manhattan. Great staff. The only negative was the additional resort fee that was a surprise at the hotel.

Heat Wave mishaps.
The television in my room would only work on 47% of channels. Even on those channels it would still go in and out. The AC in my room was broken. To be staying in NY in a middle of a heat wave AC is a big deal. They did have someone come in and fix it but hours later it stopped working again.

Nice, first few times were a lot better. First room ac broke had to wait for electrician to come up. He fixed it ... by 1am ac broke again .. called from desk, electrician was gone, room was switched @ 2:30 am. 2nd night booked bigger room was pleasing.. overall okay stay 4th time Note: due to covid I’m assuming towels, wash clothes and hand towels were very limited. Requested two more wash cloths and was given hand towels because they were currently out ..

The room was describe as having a city view but after checking in the only rooms the hotel has of this type are on the 6th floor, facing away from the city, and look directly into the grungy 6th floor of a walk up apartment building across the street. I went to the front desk and they did move me to another room on a higher floor, but this room wasn’t much better. The place was falling apart. The tv didn’t work and the remote was out of batteries. The outlets were worn so the plugs kept falling out. And most of all the window didn’t have a bolt in one of the hinges so after opening it once it fell out and couldn’t be put back in. It’s pretty unacceptable for any hotel but especially a place like this. All room service is closed for Covid which is fine but the bar area has a high minimum spend to go. It was also a $75 per person minimum spend to be able to go to the hotel pool. Ridiculous.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Hotel staff were so rude and I was also charged an extra $65 for a ( mysterious) stain that was found on the bedsheets. I am 100% sure that Me and my wife did not make any“stains” or any other damages to the room during our stay. For me, this is another way for the hotel to Swindle you of a couple of bucks. I was told by management that the stain on the sheets we’re blood ( which is a complete lie) and they had to throw it away because of the Covid, so they would not reimburse me my money. I do a lot of traveling and this was by far the worst hotel.

Very enjoyable hotel.
Wonderful deck with great amount of sun. Bed was extremely comfortable. The only drawback with our stay was having to spend $250 at Mr. Purple, for 2 hours use of the pool. That is not stated on the website, and while we acquiesced and paid the fee/spent the money, I’m unsure if we would have booked this hotel if we knew in advance. Having said that, the pool was wonderful and the staff there was was equally wonderful.

There was only one working ice machine in the building. I had to call the front desk multiple times for information since my room was lacking necessities. He kept putting me on hold until I went down there and there was no one waiting at the desk. I ended up going to the CVS close by since the service was so poor
