The hotel website states: The rooms at Montcalm Brewery Townhouse epitomize luxury and sophistication. Each space is meticulously designed to offer unparalleled comfort, blending contemporary elegance with timeless charm. From plush furnishings to state-of-the-art amenities, every detail is curated to ensure a memorable and indulgent stay for guests.
I planned travel with every confidence that I would be comfortable and well looked after for two nights at the hotel. But upon arrival I was placed into what seems to bear no resemblance whatsoever to the hotel described. There is virtually zero daylight (let alone, 'stunning city views'), the windows do not open apart from just a crack to let in what is being pushed out from the condenser of the adjacent air conditioner which left me with a sore throat. It is dingy, tired, in places extremely dirty, smells musty, and needs considerable updating to match the description on the website, and certainly the advertised star rating.
Far from a 5 star hotel, a Premier Inn would have actually been a far more comfortable standard of room.
The management have not yet resolved this complaint at the time of writing.
