I love staying here when I go to NYC. It is convenient located for all my business needs and great spots around for meetings.

Not the shiny gem it once was.
Extremely nice staff and prompt service but I fear that this Ace is in need of some love and attention. Felt worn down and a little sad to be honest.

Boutique hotel done right
All other boutique hotels should come to Ace and copy them because they do it right. Hip, cosy and friendly.

Ace Hotel January
We were put in a very stuffy room the ac and tv did not work and we were level with some really disruptive construction. The front desk told us the entire hotel had only central ac and heat so we should not use the thermostat. After changing rooms we still had an over air freshened stuffy room. Over all not the experience expected for the cost. It felt less comfortable than a chain hotel.

Great vibe, alittle dated but I’d recommend
It feels like it was hip when it opened 20 years ago and their sense of humor is great but it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. The lobby, which is also the bar, is always full of people hanging out & working so not much room for hotel guests to sit. It’s right next to Milk Bar which is yummy & the attached Stumptown coffee shop is great too. Especially since they don’t have coffee set-ups in the rooms but you can’t go down there in your robe. Perhaps we are just used to a few more amenities. The rooms were good sized though, which is not always the case in NY. We were on the 2nd floor at first but my husband didn’t like the street noise so they moved us to the 8th floor in the back & were very accommodating about it. No view but we probably slept better not hearing sirens & nightlife. I think it’s a great place to stay if you’re under 40 probably. The staff was all great too.

Great location with excellent breakfast close by and coffee next door. Staff were friendly. Felt the photos over represented the reality of the room though and therefore a little over priced.

no wake up call - almost missed flight
Everything was wonderful from the early check in to the hospitable staff but I requested a wake up call so I didn't miss my 6am flight and it never happened. thankfully I awoke on my own but was extremely late and almost missed the plane. That's a major responsibility that needs to be taken seriously at a hotel
