Excellent service but very poor hotel
The service from the staff was excellent but they are let down by the state of the hotel.
Sat on the bed and nearly went through the was as it was on wheels, seat top not connected to legs so moved all over the place, then to top it all, the hair dryer exploded.
Breakfast was poor but it’s not surprising as it was left to one poor girl running about doing everything

Won't be back
Parking is not free at all (£12), and you are charged tax on arrival. Pretty grim conditions. Perfect choice if you want to experience the closest thing to a refugee camp. Won't be back

Staff was rude. Paying for parking a pain due to app and website are rubbish. Bed small and uncomfortable. Pillows flat as a pancake.

We found the hotel easily. Parked easily. Checked in without any problem. There was no lift so we had to struggle up the stairs with our luggage. The cost was a little higher for a Superior Room and if this was 'superior' I dread to think what the standard room would be like. The area around the shower was dirty and the desk/table had been knawed through, probably by a dog. Those probs aside, they were the least of our problems. The springs were almost coming through the mattress so I took off the mattress cover on one of the beds (2nd bed almost as bad) and was almost physically sick .... see attached photos. Sadly we'd already laid on the beds overnight. On checkout my husband reported the beds to the staff at the desk and they apologised. In fairness to them, it is very much the fault of management not them. There was no mention of any recompense but I urge people not to stay. Also, we had a meal at the restaurant - chicken tikka and the chicken was so hard we couldn't eat it. One positive though was the towpath alongside the river where we enjoyed a walk.

Campanile you get what you expect. Good safe parking, good bar and breakfast area. Staff great, rooms tired but functional. Location 10 minutes walk downhill to tram station.
