Broken AC and Poor Communication
We paid for a Queen sized room for 4 nights with a view of Hyde Park on the 1st floor & the room was spacious, however, the air-conditioned was broken in the room. We were moved to a Queen sized room with a smaller view of Hyde Park on the 5th floor, but the room was significantly smaller. There were no rooms available that were the size of our original room. We therefore felt very cramped & had limited space in the room. Although we were offered free breakfast as compensation, the instructions on how to redeem the breakfast was not clear. We were sick from traveling & so ordered room service and was told after the fact that the charges could not be removed since the complimentary breakfast to compensate for the broken AC and move to a smaller room had to be redeemed in person at their breakfast buffet. We therefore checked out of the hotel with significant charges on the credit card from two days worth of breakfast charges via room service without realizing that it would not be compensated. We only received a complimentary breakfast for one day since we physically went downstairs to the breakfast buffet. It was a terrible stay since we should have never been given a room with a broken airconditioner during a warm week. We were not even told upon check in about the broken airconditioner. And then we had to move all of our luggage and belongings to the 5th floor to a very small room. There was poor communication and no one was on hand who wanted to make things right for us.

Loved the restaurant attached to the hotel , and the fact it was across from the lovely Hyde park. Also some nice shops nearby and a subway entrance.

Bad Hilton Experience
They checked me into wrong room, I was shocked to see someone else’s bags once it’s done. Hose for showerhead was broken and despite I report it they haven’t fixed it until next day.

misleading
The room was advertised as a deluxe king, not sure what was deluxe about the room and the bed was two mattresses zipped together. The views was of the fire escape

Was a good stay close to everything. My only issue was the fact the baby cot did not come with a mattress and therefore my baby had to sleep on the bed with us. You cannot put a baby in a cot with no base/mattress. I was a bit surprised that they did not offer a mattress but offered a cot it.. doesnt make much sense.

Our stay
The rooms are a bit dated, and the bathtub was a little unclean when we first arrived. The bed is very creaky and it’s a bit hard. Other than that the room was okay, decently sized, the location was amazing, located right next to Queensway and not far from Lancaster Gate and Bayswater, very convenient location

I stayed here for the location. The photos online do not line up at all to what the rooms actually were. We got a "Family Room" because we were three people. This "Family Room" was in the basement with NO WINDOWS. It was clausterphobic, smelled bad and was downright scary. The decor was dated, dusty and just awful. The WORST room that I have EVER stayed in and I travel a lot. The Bathroom had been updated with a nice tub so I can give a shout out to that but the rest of the room was not worth it. You would be better off staying at a Hostel. I asked the front desk if we could move and they said that there were no rooms available. I would have checked back out if it was not so late at night. Thankfully, I was only there for one night. Please do NOT stay in these basement rooms.

This is an Edwardian hotel so it has real character, unlike most modern hotels. It has been sympathetically renovated, but still feels modern, with clean rooms and luxurious bathrooms.

My room was broken into with a crowbar etc / all my belongings were scattered on the floor and 4 credit cards and 1 necklace were stolen. Terrible experience and Hilton haven’t taken any responsibility. Horrible

As Hilton’s go … it was Ok .. clean a bit tired … could do with modernising . Bed was very comfy … facilities were ok … abit basic . Staff were attentive on reception .Breakfast was a shambles …. Ran out of hot food…. Broken syrup pot ..but kept being put back … syrup dropped at least twice… all over people!!! Think that needs to be addressed .. total nightmare all over other peoples clothes. Bad management in the restaurant. Shame.

The room design was of and older hotel made over. Unique in the access from the elevator and the shape of the room. Couple of things though I wondered about: Why was the TV on a wall that could not be seen from the bed by both occupants of the room and only one easy chair was available for only one of the party to see the TV? The bath desperately needs towel bars. The bath is in direct straight view from the door to the hall.

We stayed in the dungeon 1001-1004. The room had no fan or window in the bathroom. Mildew apparent in bathroom. Room smelled like mildew. Noisy due to the hotel’s public restroom located very nearby on our floor. Although we could get a sliver of outdoor light there was only a view to a wall. The provided breakfast buffet was nice and the servers were lovely. Before arriving I was very displeased with the manager of reservations. I booked through Expedia and chose to pay on arrival. I received many emails stating my room would be cancelled if I did not pay now. After several long distant calls to the hotel amassing $186.00 US dollars. I was assured that the reservation would not be cancelled. However the next 2 days I received an email from Belen stating pay or cancellation would be made. Yikes! I was totally stressed out until we finally entered our room.
