we stays there few nights while we visiting wales. due to covid restrictions we were not able to use facilities as swimming pool or sauna. our puppy felt good down there. room service was also good, you can use whatsapp to contact the service or reception. room clean. only disadvantage was no mini fridge so if you like to keep your puppy food fresh you stack. you gonna need to get one daily basis

Have asthma or problems with damp!? Don't go here
We booked into the hotel and as I suffer from asthma I could immediately notice a musty damp atmosphere when I walked through the front door, the front desk was covered with envelopes and people were coming up to the desk and asking for things when we were next to sign in . We were shown to our room but even after five minutes the overwhelming damp in the atmosphere was making it hard to breath for me so I went and had a word with reception and they showed us a few different rooms on the second floor as there were none left in the first we were told but after twenty minutes I just could not breath properly and went back to the desk and asked them if they have a damp problem and after a lot of persuasion it was agreed that they had damp problems but they were supposed to be sorted out . I told them I can't stay in your hotel I can't breath they argued with us and I had to go outside to be able to breath again ,my partner was told they wouldn't give a refund even though I had a severe reaction to their damp musty hotel ... long story..but the end is that they didn't want to refund even though it was a medical issue & not just because we didn't want stay there and we only ended up with a quarter of what we paid for the two nights .

disapointing
Room (131) smelt of smoking. Hotel manager apologized he couldn't move us as the hotel was full. One way system was being ignored. Slight smell in the corridor - not sure what of. Some people appeared to have dogs in their rooms. Swimming pool on website but closed. Staff were friendly Not a disastrous stay but not up to normal Mercure standards

Good hotel in convenient location
Had a lovely stay here. Nice clean hotel, conveniently located and very dog friendly. Nice large rooms. A nice place to have a meal and some beers after a day playing in the beach.

Struggling to cope
The hotel was struggling to cope with Covid restrictions - but not quite managing. They had some good procedures in place, but they weren't quite clicking. An invoice for my stay was supposed to be put outside my door (so I could do contactless check-out). It never arrived before I left. My 'breakfast bag' (another good idea that didn't quite work) didn't arrive when ordered and, when it did, it wasn't the veggie one I'd ordered. The room was also cold and the heater didn't work.

disappointing stay
There was a family from hell continuously running around like a herd of elephants and then someone left their dog in their room And went out for the night the fog barked continuously in the end we cut our trip short and left at 20:00 and drove home, the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in - very disappointing
