A comfortable and enjoyable stay
The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the gym and pool were not very welcoming and were not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was well stocked and was a perfect start to our day. I particularly loved that the pastries are kept warm in the oven - a very nice touch.

Attention to detail
The general stay was ok. Its was very chaotic in the restaurant for dinner with not enough staff to cope with how busy they are. My meal was ordered incorrectly to the kitchen by the waiting on staff resulting in the wrong meal being delivered to me. I did get an apology but no one came to check if everything was ok after the correct meal was brought out. Every table around me had a table check. Its just the attention to detail which is being missed. Not enough electric charging points for cars available compared to how many guests can stay at the hotel does cause issues.

Not the full ticket.
After a 4hr drive I was looking forward to a bath. The room was excellent. Large bed, large room, nice bathroom, no plug for the bath. Tried to call reception, phone didn't work. Called from my mobile, reported the problems. Few minutes later maintenance guy came, saw the problem,went away. Came back some short time later, no plug to fit the bath. I was resigned to not having a bath but wanted to share my disappointment with a manager. She listened to my concerns, went away for a short time then returned. All problems resolved. Breakfast next morning after a glorious bath, no glasses, reported that, resolved. No mixed fruit, reported that. No plates for breakfast, reported that and that was resolved. The hotel is beautiful, lovely location, super quality. Just let down by a lack of attention to detail. Surely cleaning should have noticed there was no plug. Surely breakfast staff should notice a lack of drinking glasses, fruit, plates.
