"Hakone is beautiful, we loved our stay here. Felt a bit more quaint and cozy then I imagine maybe some other options or that is just generally the vibe for a
small town in the mountains. The alcohol amenity and bar snacks were a lovely touch. The onsen was small but never crowded so it didn’t feel that way. Would absolutely stay here again if my luck brings me back to this place. "
"The Suiun is beautiful and amazing! The staff are incredibly polite and accommodating. The property has a beautiful private and public onsen, with options for rooms that have their own onsen. The views of the surrounding mountains are gorgeous. The Japanese style breakfast they offer is impressive, varied, and filling. I will be staying here again in the future."
"It’s just a really great experience staying at this hotel. They have thought of a lot of little extras from free ice cream at the reception. Welcome drinks. Someone takes you to your room and shows you around. The gardens are beautiful. The buffet was delicious. And the Onsen room was.fantastic. "
Ajisai Onsen Ryokan - Award Winning Private Open Air Onsen Hakone
10/10 Excellent
"This was a unique experience. The 2 indoor and 1 outdoor onsen were very relaxing. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The traditional Japanese food was beautifully presented and tasty. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional. About 25 minutes walk from Gora station if you are dragging heavy cases up the hill! Otherwise about 15 minutes. "
"We had 2 rooms for us - enjoyed the night in Gora Kadan Onsen (Spa) on the way from Kyoto to Tokyo.
We had full board = dinner + breakfast and, while not at all low cost, it was one of the most memorable stays one can have with great food and very traditional Japan onsen atmosphere"
