Fire alarm went off while checking in and the attendant was extremely rude to guests, unhelpful and provided no guidance or assurance that someone was coming to check on it. The room was small, which is to be expected in the city, but the bed was very uncomfortable and the room wasn't fully cleaned. There were grapes left over from a previous guest and hair all over the floor.

Very Good 8.0
Liked the location, well laid-out for such a small room. Would have liked a coffee maker in the room

Exceptional 10.0
The location is outstanding. This limited service hotel delivers on what it promises and doesn't promise to be what it is not. I have stayed here before and I will stay here again. It is a good value for the room rate they charge.

Your basic monk's cell. Adequate as just a clean place to sleep. Closet with shelves and a desk surface: not one drawer. Broken desk lamp: staff had no replacement to offer. Single glazed windows: Cold! Window unit could not keep up; relied on extra blanket. Entering frigid bathroom was a commitment. Would not choose again during cold weather.

The architecture. It is finished nicely, the bed is comfortable, bathroom nice. Room clean. Elevators dirty, dusty. Access to really bad coffee that sits all day. Nice to stay for a night or two if you won’t need amenities like food, coffee, etc.

the front desk staff (Luis in particular) was very pleasant and helpful) and the location was very convenient

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff are very accommodating and friendly especially the front desk. They provided everything I ask them. Great location and the place is so quiet. I did not encounter any issue during my stay and I loved the antique interior of the lobby! I would love to stay here again in the future.
