My Place Hotel is an excellent place to stay. I've stayed here a few times and will continue to. My Place is the only place I've stayed that has both a full sized refrigerator, 2 burner stove top, and a recliner, which is great when you have health issues that cause pain.

Came to Marquette for a family party. My Place staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The hotel wasn’t fancy but it was very clean and had comfy beds and super dark rooms which was all that we needed. We will return when in town

We were given the wrong room keys and then when the correct keys were given, it was to a room that already had a guest in it. The staff wrote the wrong room number down. Not a big deal, it was a true mistake but the man we barged in on was not happy. The full kitchen is great if you travel with your own pots and pans and dishes. I would have liked an option to have them in the room or maybe to rent them.

Check-in was so nice. The woman (Julie, i think) was genuinely nice and helpful. The room was clean and the kitchenette was really helpful since they don't have a complimentary breakfast. There is nothing extraordinary about this hotel. Its just a good, solid place to stay.

One of the things we wanted to do on this trip to the U.P. was photograph the aurora borealis/northern lights. There were locations along the shore of Lake Superior about 30 minutes east of Marquette that provided great access for doing this, and we were successful in making some nice photos. As such, the location of My Place was perfect! We also drove to Big Bay and Echo Lake, two places also convenient to Marquette. My only nitpick was that there were no dishes or utensils in the kitchenette. We assumed that if there was a kitchenette, that it would be fully furnished. As such, we were unable to prepare any meals, other than sandwiches, in the room. The list of amenities for the facility needs to note that the kitchenette is not fully furnished. It's not a significant enough issue to prevent us from staying there again, as we can bring our own utensils next time. But for other folks who might expect a fully furnished kitchenette, it should be noted in the literature about the facility that you need to bring your own cooking and eating utensils. The location is very convenient to a variety of stores and restaurants, which we liked. All in all, a very pleasant experience to stay here!
