Fantastic stay!
Gorgeous lodge in a perfect location. It was an ideal home from home with everything we needed there. We had pre-arranged a Tesco delivery, when we arrived it had all been put away for us, such a lovely gesture! The decor was lovely, the gardens beautiful and our stay was just perfect. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Perfect base for exploring the highlands.
We received a warm welcome and everything was explained upon arrival.
We decided to find a central base to explore the Highlands by car and Torcroft was just ideal. Ullapool, Fort William, Fort Augustus, Aviemore, Cairngorm National Park, Plodda Falls, Glen Affric and Isle of Skye are all doable as day trips.
Returning home each evening to cosy, comfortable and well equipped cabin.

So I read every review about the Torcroft Lodges before booking. We stayed for one week in cabin 5, so this whole review is based on that particular cabin. I read about everything from rusty nails to electric meters. Our cabin was very clean upon our arrival and the metal between floors was on the newer side. Simon did load about 13 one euro coins in our electric meter before arrival and this lasted us until two days before leaving. It takes about 3 coins a day to run the cabin. Simon originally installed the meters to make us think on how we use power. A bit of a pain on vacation, but no big deal. Internet was on the slow side, but cellular reception was good and had about 20 channels on the television. The location is central to so much in Northern Scotland and in a nice wooded area. Parking is right on the side of our cabin. If your looking for 5 star accommodations this is not for you, but if you want a great spot to base your travels at a decent price this is ideal. I would stay here again in a minute.

Well-equipped lodge near Loch Ness & Woods
Very friendly and helpful owner of the Lodge met us as we arrived. Location is very close to Loch Ness, although if visitors wish to get to a Loch Ness beach they will need to drive to the other side of the Loch. Cabin is near wooded areas with many picnic sites and trails to explore. The cabin was clean, well equipped and cosy. Would highly recommend. We would love to visit again!

Excellent, excellent, excellent!
We are on a vacation trip to London and the Scottish highlands. We are traveling with family of 4. I booked this cabin because of the recommendations of prior guests. The reviews and pictures do not do this place justice. The cabin is lovely with the owners caring for every detail.. it is immaculately clean. Lucy and Simon leave you coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits to get started when you arrive. Excellent location for exploring highlands. Would love to return and stay longer. The cabin is equipped with everything you need and is in a lovely setting.

Beautiful area, close to the sweet village of Drumnadrochit, where we were able to have tea at a local tearoom, every day. The lodge was comfy and the owners were exceptionally kind. Cannot wait to return!

Beautiful home away from home
We arrived over a day late (36+ hours) due to flight issues, and late at night. We were warmly greeted by our host into our lovely 2-bedroom cabin. The lodge was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The setting is quiet, peaceful and incredibly beautiful. If we ever get the chance to visit Scotland again, I’d be more than half staying here.

Ideally located
We stayed in lodge 3 found it clean and tidy tea coffee and biscuits provided as well as fresh milk in the fridge. A vase of fresh flowers was an unexpected bonus. But a lovely touch.
We were welcomed by Simon who was very friendly and approachable..
The lodge was ideally located for what we wanted to do and see. We are hoping to stay again at some time.

great relaxing break
Good place to stay Simon very helpful.Great nights sleep.
Downside is place got cold and was not told til half way up they have £1 coin electric meters. So spent a lot on keeping place warm.Bathroom and hall always cold no matter if you put all heaters on .If you take kids please be careful as stood on a rusty nail and only just avoided a trip to hospital.
