What a disaster of a hotel
Im arrived about 9pm. Room had no heat on. I checked with reception and told for eco rasons the heat only comes on when you are in it, I checked the room temp and it read -1 on my phone.I used hair drier while waiting for receptionest to bring additional heater which did not work and was replaced. Iit turned the receptionest was the manager who belived it was ok to put someone into a cold room and bed.I made my phone calls and went for a two hour walk to warm up hoping tne room would be warm whenI got back, but the bed was still cold. I got up in the morning with a heavy head cold.I think the hotel should be called Haymarket Faulty Hotel. The manager did not seem to know a lot about proper ecco heating systems even though he thought cold rooms would save the planet.

Really nice hotel, location is brilliant! Tram is right outside the door and it is only about a 10minite walk from princes street. Lots of lovely places to eat around. Staff were very helpful! Room is super convenient, it is small but it catered to our exact needs, we wernt in the room much so it was ideal!

Tiny room but convenient
The staff were really nice and friendly. The pub downstairs was great for food. The location is great. However, the room was literally the size of a shoebox and there was no wardrobe - so no place to unpack to and no floor space to leave your suitcase out. Like seriously so small I would say it’s on New York hotel room size scale.

best value in
Really good value at £40 for a clean comfortable room close to the city centre and right on the tram line to the airport. Rooms are small but perfect, staff are helpful and friendly and the bar/restaurant is a great bonus. The phone system is brilliant, free phone calls and a city guide you can carry with you! My future base for all Edinburgh visits.

The room was small but clean. Had a safe that we could use to store our passport etc. Staff were friendly. The room was very warm the first night and we had trouble with the air conditioning but apart from that the location was ideal for us. Also they had a free smartphone `handy` which came preconfigured with tours, places of interest and suggestions of where to eat which was cool,

Great place to stay to explore the city
Really enjoyed our stay, great location, very convenient from the airport, the airlink stop right outside. Room was small but perfect for the two of us, bed was comefortable and room was very clean with good shower. Only had interaction with staff at checking in and checking out and they were very nice and helpful. There is a mobile phone in each room for use, we didn't need it but would be very usefull if you weren't able to use your own.
