Fantastic location and the staff were lovely. The main areas of the hotel are nice but the rooms need freshened up as there was mould under the windows and the shower curtain was mouldy.

Just wow!
I travel a lot with work and stay in lots of hotels but I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The beds are huge and so comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. I need a gluten free diet and they catered for this. Had a specific gluten free area and even a specific toaster! Great location too. I will definitely be back!

Spend your £350 elsewhere!
We arrived before 3pm check-in and where not allowed to checkin a minute before. Due to this I had to use the baby changing facilities there but what turned out to be an employee was in there on the phone and did not come out for over 10 minutes, despite me trying the door several times. When I finally got in she had left a terrible mess in the toilet and it smelled so bad I had to change my baby with the door open. We were given a room on level 3 with no cot which I had asked for and never ever got in our 2 night stay. The room was down a set of stairs, having gone up in the lift but we had a large pram so it was no use. We moved room after that. We had a pram and a suitcase but we were offered to help to our room. I did hear the receptionist give the 2 men at the desk into trouble for not helping but still no help. Breakfast was nice, staff there friendly. The scrabbled eggs had gone a grey/green but the server was helpful and changed them and made a smaller batch just for the baby. Room ok but very outdated, the first room didn’t even have a fridge. It was ok and central enough, but not worth a fraction of the £350 we paid. If I knew now what I was going to I’d have booked a Premier Inn. I suspect no difference. They should spend less on a fancy reception area and more on the rooms and service to their guests.

Disaster
We stayed in the Hilton for two nights. The room was nice, a bit cold, but fine. We arrived late (around 1am) and the man who checked us in said he needed our debit card on file. We informed him, several times, we had already paid through hotels.com, but he continued to insist that he needed our debit card in case we ordered room service etc. We were so tired, we didn’t argue, and we did what we were asked. The next morning we checked our bank account and we noticed had been charged twice for two rooms (we had 2 rooms for 2 nights booked)- nearly €1500 instead of the €760 we’d already paid. We explained this at reception. What a pointless saga. They argued over and back with me until I asked to speak with a manager. We did get it sorted in the end, after 50 min, but they gave the money back in pound, although we’d paid in euro, and live in a country with euro. We didn’t even receive a bottle of water as an apology. I will not be recommending this hotel to friends or staying here ever again.
