Visable damp on the bathroom wall by the shower and a very strong smell of damp in the downstairs area including bedrooms. The owner tried to disguise the smell with air fresheners and by leaving the windows open but the smell of damp was still immediately apparent on entry.
Had we been staying longer than 2 nights and not arrived so late in the evening on the first night we would have left.
It was a real shame because everything else about the property and surrounding area was beautiful, but the damp issue should be attended to as soon as possible as it is potentially a health risk.
