Great stay here!
Fabulous stay, ideal location 1 minute walk from Haymarket station and 15 min walk to Princess Street. Lovely hosts, nice breakfast and spacious, light room. The decor is very dated but makes for a cosy, homely atmosphere.

Comfortable Stay.
The hotel was clean and quiet! Located very near the Haymarket train station, tram and bus stops. Made it easy to get around Edinburgh when the weather was iffy. The check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfasts were good and filling. Will stay here again when visiting Edinburgh.

A little gem!
I have never stayed anywhere as clean and welcoming as Grosvenor Gardens. A lovely room, en-suite walk-in shower, so pristine! Really lovely cooked breakfast. If I go to Edinburgh again, that is where I will stay.

Charming place, great location and friendly staff
Very charming place with friendly, efficient staff. Breakfast was very good (although adding black pudding to the menu would add an extra Scottish flavour) Rooms were clean and comfy in a very convienient location

Breakfast was good and location is convenient for the city centre. It is very difficult to find parking. The room was a good size but shower is in a cupboard and the W.C. / sink in a tiny space.

Grosvenor Gardens Hotel in Edinburgh
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Grosvenor Gardens Hotel in Edinburgh. The rooms were clean and accommodating. The staff was very helpful and attempted to make our stay memorable. The hotel is older, so maybe not as many as bells and whistles that one would normally expect. But given that, we still had a very memorable stay at the Hotel which is located one block from trains, buses, and general transportation. It is also easily accessible to restaurants and pubs. We enjoyed the pubs in the nearby vicinity.

Home from home
Comfortable quiet family hotel with excellent personal service. Well positioned for trams, trains, buses and central Edinburgh. This was our second visit and will use again.

Lovely room but noisy
Our room was very nice, location very convenient to the tourist attractions. Breakfast was tasty. The manager was very accommodating. The only complaint(s) we had was that the reception desk was just outside of our door. Guests checking in and out were very loud and disruptive to our sleep. One morning we were awakened to a family checking in with a child. They apparently were given the room just above ours so we listened to a very active child run back and forth repeatedly for about 2 hours - nonstop. Also, both nights we had extremely loud conversations taking place into the wee hours from below our windows. It appeared to be Asian men loudly debating their subject. There was a good bit of street talk outside at late hours as well. Better planning for placement of families (on ground floor) and placement of the reception desk would be a big improvement. A curfew for noise through out the house is needed, too.

Comfortable and Convenient
Mrs. Chan was extremely nice and accommodating. Room was comfortable and quiet with view of garden. Convenient to Haymarket station, only a 2 minute walk. Bring your own shampoo and lotion as not provided.
