Staff were all lovely. Decent, filling breakfast. Room was spacious (double plus single). Secure parking for several cars.
Property a bit tired. But certainly clean.

Very kind hospitality, easy to go by bus and tram to the city and to the airport, near to the heaven of Edinburgh.

The hosts were very helpful and the property was quite comfortable. Our room was cozy (as advertised and not a surprise), the breakfast was wonderful and the dining room was lovely. The walls were a bit thin, however, and you could hear the guests in the adjoining rooms. Nonetheless, I would stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay, is an older property but well taken care of, a reminder of a similar older property we visited in Montreal. Very friendly and helpful owner. A little ways away from the Old Town but had a bus stop only a minute away to get you right down to Princes Street.

Very quaint, fit in well with the surrounding neighborhood. Good breakfasts, friendly staff, bus route to Princes St was 50 feet from the front door.
Only issue was the shower, which didn’t have much pressure on the 3rd floor and only warmed up to slightly warm (although the tap water was hot as you please). A small nit, overall it was a great place to stay for 4 nights and see the many sights of Edinburgh!

Room was very comfortable, breakfast generous and location was close enough to walk to tourist attractions if able bodied. If not public transport was available.

The staff were really helpful. Nothing too much trouble including giving us use of a shed for our cycles. Great breakfasts. One very small thing in the room the shower head kept falling down.

The host was very helpful with our plans during our visit. He accommodated us for an extra night when our flight was cancelled at the last minute. The breakfast is superb and freshly cooked to order. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is situated on a number of bus routes making easy access to the city centre. Recommended at a good price

A Haven Townhouse is located in Leith which was a lovely location with access to the Leith Docks about a mile away. The hotel itself is very nice and quaint. I was traveling alone and the room I had was small but perfect for my needs. The Inn Keeper, David, was great. Full of information and had a lovely sense of Scottish humor. The full breakfast was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Host was very informative about the area with suggestions about restaurant options and bus transportation available (2 stops within steps of the front door). Walked me to my room and informed me of its quirks.
Room was cozy and quiet; I did not mind being on the third floor at all. Easy access in and out of the hotel from the street with a special key. Included breakfast made to order from the menu was delicious.

Fabulous stay with the most thoughtful host and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We were comfortable in a large, quiet room with a great bed and pleasant street view. The location was fabulous. We caught the number 11 bus which runs frequently into the city centre. We walked to the Royal Botanic Gardens and then up to Edinburgh Castle in Easter morning. My daughter is hoping to study in Edinburgh and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else unless there was no availability at A-Haven. We really appreciated the vegan extras at breakfast and vegan Easter chocolates. A perfect stay.

Was only here a couple of nights but would have happily stayed longer. I had read reviews about out of date decor and it being creepy being taken to your room but i feel it was a pleasant service and was nice to chat about what can be done in the local area, and the decor suits the style and was nuce and relaxing to not be the same environment as home. Best bit was definitely being well taken care of over breakfast, food was lovely and they were always ready to offer you more if you wanted it

The property manager/owner was very kind and helpful. We did not like the tv as it was not loud enough and subtitle option did not work.

This is a lovely house run by lovely people. Our only 1 little gripe, bottom sheet on bed - did not fit. I am a restless sleeper so had to keep pulling sheet back over bed do not to be sleeping direct on mattress protector...does not take awsy lovely BnB. Would recommend.

Bathroom needed deep clean and updating. Weird idea of not having bed sheets but just a flat sheet that didn't tuck in so when you slept it ruckled up and you ended up lying on the mattress itself. Not hygienic!! Staff very friendly and helpful.

Small room and somewhat dated decor; the shower was poor. I did have thecsmallest and cheapest room.
However, a really comfortable bed and crisp bedding. The staff were fantastic, proper old school attentive and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked for you. My son is a student and lives in Edinburgh, I asked if he could join me for breakfast. Not only did they say yes, they said there was no charge - how nice is that? I used this as a scouting visit to see if I will come again with my wife. It's a resounding yes! I highly recommend this hotel, special thanks to David and all the staff for making my stay so pleasant.
It's clean, got good bus service outside the front door (no 11 to Princes Street), brilliant staff and a proper Scottish breakfast.

The friendliness and service from the staff and owner was brilliant!
Incredible breakfast too!
