Not great
To start with the postives the check in was great . The breakfast server was great . The hotel is in a good location very near to everything. We had a 'junior suite " with a city view. The view looked out onto a building site and main road . The room was very cold we asked staff if they could do anything about it to which we were told no as the maintenance person would not be there until the next day . The walls in the room were all marked and really needed decorating. The furnishings looked like they had seem better days .The room was advertised as having a mini bar which in fact was a empty fridge apart from some unidentified possibly food matter that had been left behind ( photo below). When we told the reception staff they told us not to touch it ...we had no intention of !. Having stayed in other hotels in Malaga this hotel was a poor standard in comparison.

Prepare for a Noisy (and moldy) Stay!
Terribly noisy place. There's a fourth floor popular restaurant that is not disclosed in their advertising. If you happen to get booked in third floor room, prepare yourself for the contact sound of chairs being drug across the floor until past 1 AM. There was mold in the bathroom shower, a busy road and construction next to the hotel. I asked about a refund on night one so I could go somewhere else or an alternative room. No remedy was offered by either by the hotel or hotels.com. I won't be using either again.

Great location, beware the builders…
Great location in the old part of Malaga. The hotel is a beautiful old building modernised sympathetically and the outdoor terraces on the top two floors are very special. Unfortunately we were not told about the work being done in the hotel and the workmen were very noisy at 8.00am moving all their gear. We also went for breakfast which was ok but cold. We would recommend going elsewhere. There are many cafes in the immediate vicinity. The room was very good and a very smart bathroom. Please put some hooks in to hang wet towels. And some hooks to hang coats. For the location, price and convenience it is a good place to stay.

Perfect location with great restaurant
Location of hotel was ideal. Central to locak sights and restaurants and a 5 min walk to the port. In house restaurant was excellent. Great taster menu for only 60euro with wine! And the best service I've had in a long time. Room was tired but ok and it was noisy at night but that didnt detract from our stay.

Bit disappointed at 250E
Maybe my expectations were too high but this was the costliest hotel of our 7 day 6 hotel Spanish trip and it had a zero wow factor. Toilet seat came off (which the reception lady had a go fixing - bless her), a bed that always came away from wall, poor view, construction noise (not in their control obvs - they looked to change but not poss), odd reception booth on entrance stairs (no foyer etc). Room door let in lot of light and thus smoke in a fire (don't know abut Fire regs in Spain but not good), breakfast was OK - good eggs, fresh orange juice but a croissant 'fresh' from a plastic bag and no nice fresh bread. We got a perk of a free bottle of wine which arrived at 19:30 just as we were going out but they had no red wine (in Spain!) only white so just told them to keep it :-( The location is excellent for Malaga old town and very close to the car parking that they discount to 18E a day. It was fine for our stay and maybe my expectations for what you get for 250 off season in Malaga was unrealistic but I'd rather manage expectations as I found nothing premium about this hotel.

Great location, Staff friendly and helpful, Room was spacious and clean, bathroom shower was powerful and plenty of hot water but the tiles needed some tlc. Luggage storage room for bags was fine but limited to the rooftop bar toilets to get changed for travelling. Would stay here again.

In the center of it all. Great little hotel in the middle of Merced Plaza, Alcazaba, and Costa Del Sol. Excellent breakfast. Friendly reception staff worked to make room available earlier to ease the pain of a red eye flight.

Very small
Very small hotel and outdated. If driving there very hard to find parking. Very busy city in the month of August

The only reason its pricy is due to its location. The washroom needs full renovaton, water leaks from the showerhead since doors and joints are not properly maintained. We had to keep towels on the floor all the time. The main room door is not sound proof, we keep hearing outside noise or anyone is returning to their rooms.

Excellent location in a lively part of town close to the main landmarks and tourist sites. Although it is in a pedestrianised area, there is a main road and a taxi rank a few minutes walk away. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. There is a also a bar on the roof.
