    Dorm Rooms
I booked the dorm option. When I checked in I was told I was staying with someone else. I totally missed that. I was informed for more money I could have a room to myself. I said, I'll try it. The room comes with a towel and hanger. No shampoo, toothpaste, wash rag, or face towel, just a body towel. I made due for the night by buying a few things from Walgreens. Oh.. Because you're staying with random strangers, you can't really relax and kick back in the room, so as not to disturb your roommates. The bed was clean, double-sheeted and I slept fine.

    great place to stay
My mother and I were just in town visiting family. We had a room with two twin beds. We were kind of nervous about staying at this hotel. We never heard of a hotel called The Generator but our stay was perfect. The staff was very helpful and friendly our room was clean and updated. The bedding was clean and very comfortable. The location was great within walking distance to great restaurants and other attractions. I would def recommend staying at this hotel.

    My New Favorite DC Home
This newly renovated Connecticut Avenue Jewel is the perfect addition to DuPont Circle. I was smiling and enjoyed premier service from the minute I walked in the door that lasted my entire stay! I am recommending this place to everyone!

    False advertising
The hotel tried to extort an additional $525 from me. The ad didn't make it clear that the "room" that I book was a hostel. In the end, I paid an additional fee to get a private room. I will not be going back to this hotel. What the advertising what they offer or not the same.

    You can find something better.
Not as close to DuPont Circ as advertised. Also you are not allowed guest during pandemic, however nearby commercial hotels will allow guests and are operating smoothly during The pandemic. For what i paid i expected a better experience.

She told me bc of my dog they can upgrade my room with the totay amount of 80.47$ but finally i see they cahrged me for 325$.they told me ti can park my car in front of hotel where there is a sign with 15minutes for loading guests only but they told me you can park and when i came back after dinner at night they told me if u oark here we are going to call for tow company. Loved My Stay...
Although only one night, my stay at the Generator was excellent. The location is great, view fabulous, the decor updated and edgy and most of all the staff was so pleasant and accommodating. Towels could have been a touch newer and a couple of small noticeable oversights on the bath room floor. Very Comfortable and Highly recommend!
