Sheffield's lively cultural scene embraces classical music and dance, drama, and contemporary visual arts. You'll find a variety of venues for music and drama in the city centre, ranging from purpose-built modern theatres to grand concert halls and churches. In the city's art galleries, you'll find everything from old masters to contemporary installation works that may change the way you think about art.
Sheffield also has had a reputation for skilled craftsmanship for centuries. That tradition continues in studios and workshops housed in former industrial buildings in the city's "cultural industries quarter." You'll find edgy work from local creative talents at galleries like Site and AAG Works, which also exhibit work by visiting artists. Follow us through a selection of Sheffield’s arts and culture venues.
