Excellent staff, Good price, No frills
This was a first stay- I’ll start with what went wrong. The Hotels.com site & Woodspring site did not match on room type or availability, I learned. I called the hotel directly the day I booked thru Hotels.com to make sure I was getting the right style room.
I drove 5hrs to get there, only to find my reservation was NOT for the correct room type- & housekeeping was behind. Thank goodness for the gentleman at the desk, Cedric! With only an hour delay, he was able to pull it together with housekeeping & switching things up to get me the correct room! The only issue room-wise was the floor had several large areas of sticky spills- I had to mop it myself- but was otherwise was very clean & perfect for our needs. The room was more like a studio apartment than hotel room- it was great for our small holiday gathering. Other desk staff were very friendly & accommodating as well. It turned out to be an excellent stay, at a good price- I will book there again- but do it directly with the hotel. Things to note: there is a $100 deposit fee that Hotels.com does not disclose; the kitchenettes do not come stocked AT ALL- be prepared to bring everything you need if you will cook, including a coffee maker; Hotel is locked down like an apartment building & unstaffed between 8pm & 8am, so plan your activities accordingly. Again, Cedric went above & beyond to meet our needs!
